Karlsson was probably the best D man of that decade.
It’s thought to argue much except I really feel
Burns night in and night out was a beast in 2010-2020
And should crack the top 5

Fair enough, Burns was a beast physically and probably the 2nd or 3rd best at generating even strength offence.
I know I'm biased, but I think Doughty is #1. He's won more than anyone else on that list. 2 goal medals, 2 Stanley cups, 1 Norris, and been ranked the #1 defenseman in the NHL most of those 10 years. He should have won the Norris in 9-10 and 17-18, but he was past up because the award has been an offensive trophy for a lot of years rather than a combination of both. He's the best defenseman defensively on that entire list as well.

I figured you might say this. I can see the argument for Doughty as number 1 given everything he’s accomplished but I still felt Karlsson was better. He played on a much weaker Sens team yet generated a lot more offence. You can argue he didn’t have much ability in his own end, but during his prime he was always in the offensive zone therefore his team did not give up much chances with him on the ice.

Better offensively for sure, no doubt. Doughy is just a better all rounded defenseman. I'm not mad about your ranking, its your personal ranking.
