No, everyone can overreact about Byfield all they want. He's raw and will be a real talent.

No no no, I’m not saying trade Byfield because of a sub par tournament. I just used him because I feel that that’s what they’d Anaheim would want if this type of trade were to go down. I just want to know what it would take to see these three together in the big leagues.

There isn't one, except if the Kings had a top 2-3 pick or Vilardi+ then maybe the Ducks might entertain it, but they need him as a young top 6 center coming back + more.

We were all seeing Zegras as a high end 2C, but he improved is shot, but I wouldn't call him 1C Elite potential, more he as 1C ceiling

In all fairness, Turcotte was the elite 1C in that tournament and you can wonder how good Zegras would have been if Turcotte and Kaliyev weren't playing with him. I used to wonder why we picked Turcotte over Zegras and now I know.

Not sure to understand what you are saying ( I think you are saying Turcotte and Kaliyev helped Zegras to look good ). I’m I mistaken ?

I'm saying that the OP makes it seem like Zegras is so much better than Turcotte and WE HAVE TO GET HIM when it's not crazy to think that if he wasn't playing with Turcotte he might not have been as dominate.

I rather keep Byfield, Turcotte, Kaliyev, and play against Zegras 4 times a month.

If Kings can work out 2 more top 6 wingers to play with Byfield, they can play Turcotte Vilardi Kaliyev as the 2nd line in the future and thats just as good if not better than Zegras Turcotte Kaliyev

His IQ is fine. His IQ on the PP is great, I'm convinced you've never watched him. There's over 100 players in the NHL that are not good skaters.

He's still got a lot of development ahead of him. Imagine if every team wrote of prospects like you lol. By the way, the Canadiens have the worst player development in the NHL so I wouldn't expect you to understand. Kings have the best.

He'll be in the OHL again this year and the AHL next year, then he should be ready by 2022-2023.

You’re mad that Kaliyev is horrible ? Take out is shot and he wouldn’t have been drafted. He touches the puck, he shoot. That’s it, no other play possible, he misses is pass all the time, can’t skate, can’t follow the play, but as a GREAT shot. He will probably make it to the NHL, but he needs to work on those things to make it work.

" He will probably make it to the NHL, but he needs to work on those things to make it work. "

That's called player development and he will get plenty of it. I appreciate your concern.

Don’t get mad, I hope for you guys he developed into a top6 player, but watching him skating reminds me of Michael McCarron and Dwight King

Dwight King helped the Kings win 2 almost 3 Stanley Cups playing on the 3rd line.

Kopitar is a bad and slow skater and that's never been a problem for him.

Some players can have bad skating and still be good players.

Vilardi went from a top 5 pick to a 11OA pick and he was doing just fine and is now our 2C.

Because the player you named all have an excellent hockey IQ, Suzuki isn’t a fast skater, but is hockey IQ is off the charts. We can’t say the same about Kaliyev, but he needs that development. We didn’t saw any upgrades from is skating of last year to this year.

You went from "he's horrible he'll never make the NHL" to "He might make the NHL, but he needs more development"

Every prospect needs development lol and as I said, he'll get plenty of it. The Kings have the best player development in the league and they are very patient with their prospects. We aren't worried.

One last thing, Kaliyev's goal scoring ability would get him goals in the NHL right now if he was playing. He'll put up goals regardless of his skating. His powerplay IQ is great, he knows when to shoot when not to. He knows when his teammates have a better chance of scoring then himself.

Your logic is silly and this conversation is going nowhere. Time will tell. Have a good day.
