It would be weird to move on from Krug and Chara to let the young guys player and then acquire a 32yo dman with 5 years left on his contract from a divisional rival. Bruins don't need Palmieri anymore with Pastrnak-Kase-Smith on the right side. Kuraly, Halak could be gone next year and I think Beecher & Lohrei sign in 2 years. Rask could get less $, Kase more and Carlo, a long-term contract.

Palmeiri makes more
If Carlo, Ritchie and Kase get signed for that, This will be a very bad year for the Bruins because it means nobody produced.

Tuukka is not getting a raise (and I am in the camp that he is really really good).

Kase on the 4th line is incredibly odd and a waste. They would be far better off trading him for Hanafin and not taking on McDonagh's contract.

Also Krejci - I am guessing he is back at a lesser rate (2 x 5M)

Halak is not coming back.

Vladar isn't expansion exempt. Wouldn't be surprised if Halak is back for a year just incase Boston loses a goalie.

The terms on the RFAs are a bit screwy, but the biggest take away is that signing Palmieri so that you can give Kase that kind of money to play the fourth line is outrageously stupid.

B’s not bringing McD in. To many years left on that contract.
