Personally I would say 6, 7 if you include draisaitl.
Mcdavid, mackinnon, matthews, Crosby, Bergeron. Zib clocks in around 8 after eichel, malkin. Point and zib I view really close but I think point has benefited from being with kucherov more than zibanejad benefits from panarin.

But MacKinnon was in a great position and he took ⁶ years to reach a ppg

Colorado wasn’t a very good team after they drafted mackinnon. They did not have two top 20 players on the team until Mac cracked that list

No, saying it’ll take laf 6 years to get to where eichel is now. He’s in a much better situation than eichel was dealt.

Rangers are still a really bad team. They don’t have the reliable depth to help a rookie.

It’s only NYR fans that keep making these. And I’m not 100% on the rules, but I don’t think Zib can sign an extension more then a year out of his contract remaining (very well could be wrong). Either way, this trade is done when Zib is 29 and Eichel is 25 according to the poster, and Eichel is still getting better, along with his team around him still getting better. If the Sabres trade him, doubt Zib would be the return due to age. Because if Buffalo is trading Eichel, it’s a rebuild correct? They aren’t gonna spin their wheels with adding Zib while giving to Eichel. That’s just bad asset management. So yeah, I think Buf will keep Eichel (and btw, that NMC kicks in in two years, so this desperate play with a year left before that kicks in is moot and Buf can trade him anywhere they please)

No trade will happen till the end of the year since Buffalo paid out eichels bonus, so next summer zib will be able to sign extension

Lol what? He’s starting on the third line because of kreider and Panarin as left wings.. he’s playing with former first round picks Chytil and gauthier. Gauthier is the only risky play, but he’s also in his prove it or lose it year. Kravtsov should take that spot come March. Personally I think a lafreniere-Chytil-kravtsov line would be good for all three of their developments.

Eichel was given to bottom feeder Buffalo with zero support.. not really promosing

Point isn't better. And Draisaitl isn't better than those 3 Eichel, Matthews Crosby

Either way, Eichel has a full year left before the NMC kicks in. So that isn’t a hinderance on shipping him off for the best return. NYR wouldn’t be the only suitors, and a 29 year old Zib would hardly be the most attractive piece to what would be a rebuilding Sabres. So to go back to your first question, yes other teams would offer a better package then Zib for what Buf would be attempting to do in rebuilding.

I've watched Draisatl play in person before. And both games he was the best player on the ice by far. By, Far. My opinion might be a bit swayed from two games but I really do think he is that good. And I would rather have Point, just personal preference but they're close so either way.

They have LW depth that’s it.
RW Is really weak. Center depth isn’t great either Mika Zibanejad shooting percentage will go down. Strome is fine because he plays with Panarin. I’m sorry I don’t trust LAF on the 3rd line with Chytil.
And they have the worst defense in the division. They will finish bottom 3 in the east.
