The Ducks still have a potential top-3 goalie in the league, a very respectable defense core and a lot of potential in their forward group. I think guys like Comtois, Steel and Terry are gonna take big steps this year.

But that's still very much based on the assumption that the younger guys on the roster are ready to compete night in, night out and reach their potential. If they do that and Gibby is as solid as we know he can be then yes, this is a good team. We've got a ways to go before we can be considered a legit contender but playoffs should be a realistic goal this year.
