As for the question posed here, I think Edmonton declines. Podkolzin has done absolutely nothing since he his draft year, no progression at all. That's not a good sign... on top of that, the Oilers are expecting Puljujarvi to jump straight into the lineup this year and perhaps anchor an outscoring 3rd line, whereas Podkolzin is nowhere near ready for the NHL. Long-term is anyone's guess, but right now this trade doesn't make sense for Edmonton and would be rejected.
