The firsts are nice, but other than that there is nothing Winnipeg needs or wants.

Carlo for McDavid and Draisaitl plus a 1st is such a bad trade
add JP and Yamo plus Nuge all at 50% is still a no i assume

Cause Carlo is the next Bobby Orr

Carlo isn’t “untouchable”, this is a hot take. No one is really untouchable and especially not non-superstars.

Just saying if you want Laine, your leftovers and two firsts will not cut it. We are in a win-now mode and picks won't necessarily help us.

Holy crap that just made me throw up. No interest from boston. Probably isn’t the right fit for Winnipeg either, but that trade would be really bad for Boston.

You're getting a very solid young third liner for a low price I'm sure Yzerman would take that in a heartbeat

Nah we don't have room and have plenty of this type of player already. We are good with keeping our picks

Both teams likely reject...Bruins throw too much in for an inconsistant player and Jets would likely want quality v quantity

Untouchable is a hard term to use, in saying that: Carlo is likely as close to untouchable as one can be (along with McAvoy and Pasta). However, OBVIOUSLY for the right price, anyone is available.
Untouchable most likely means "we do not want to or need to move him, and we love him" so if teams want him they gotta overpay to get him.

Wings fans all say "wings pass" lol to every trade,

I actually think Ritchie might work out for the wings, hes only 25, former first round pick that hasnt panned out just yet, but he isnt exactly a bust

I dont think the wings would give up 3 picks for him, but id say maybe a prospect or a 4th rounder and i would go for it, Boston may end up waiving him anyway? so wings could take a flyer on him and see if he fits in? I like it, just change it to a single 4th ? if not thats cool too, try him out this next season and see what he does. \

Its tiring everyone just says pass, but doesnt even think about it

Seems like every youngish player then would be untouchable which is why I have a problem with the term used this way. Untouchable to me would be a franchise level player (eg McDavid, Crosby). Very few on this site what to talk about fair or realistic value but rather try to fleece each other like the move will happen in real life which is super odd to me.

true. but also in Carlos case i see it as a young player with a good salary who is good, but doesnt have a high cap so he isnt gonna overdevelop and become too expensive

Idk its very case dependant

Honestly, the value's not particularly bad here. The kicker is that the WIngs' bottom 6 is pretty full as is without factoring in potential prospects, and adding Ritchie doesn't really make the team significantly better. The Wings have bottom 6 guys in spades, and there's always a plethora available in free agency. Is it really worth spending anything at all to pick up a player when you could get a rough equivalent for free next season?

Generally young players are let’s I like to call cost effective because they’re cost controlled for generally 7 years (depending on when they sign their ELC). Generally only guys that are elite or franchise level don’t get bridged but extended for top dollar long term. So then the argument is back on the performance of the player so I can see young 1Cs or top pairing guys being labeled as requiring an overpay or “untouchable”.

Thats what im saying with Carlo, as a defensive dman with a cap not much higher than he is now, the cap i see him having in a year or two when his contract expires is a 5 mllion dollar 6/7/8 year deal, REALLY good for a player of his skill, but defensive dmen are typically paid less.
So u r right, but that also proves my point lmaooo

Good point tho!!
