Settle down there, all you guys making Barzal out to be the next McDavid, he’s definitely a good 1C but he’s more comparable to PLD, Lou isn’t gonna **** around forever with this guy and he might make an example out of him (example being no one player makes or breaks a team) if that was the case McDavid would have 3 Stanley cups by now, maybe bonino comes with an extension he’s a good two way veteran Center who’s gonna get 40 points this season Matt dumba makes any teams top 4, and Matthew boldly could replace Barzal he’s a great prospect, maybe they add a second or first and bonino gets an extension but the wild aren’t trading much more than that for a 1C and a depth defence

Problem is.... Boldy is NOT a center. He is a winger, through and through. The entire reason Boldy did not play well the first half of his freshman year at BC is because they tried to play him at center. When that didn't work, they moved him back to wing where he belongs and Newhook back to center. Once back on the wing he took off.

Boldy was once again tried at center by the US team during the WJC for only a single game, the preliminary match-up against Russia, which they lost. Otherwise Boldy again played for the most part on the second line as it's LW and was centered by Beniers.

The fault understandably goes to CapFriendly for this because they have once again been extremely slow on updating which positions players primarily play. Fiala for example plays RW for us. But is still listed as primarily playing LW which side he sucked on for us.

Bonino is a 33 year old 35 point Center who is overpaid, he is not worth anything to the Isles.

Isles already have Pulock and Dobson to cover their top 4 RD.

Boldy is at least a few years away, already have Bellows and Wahlstrom ready to step in.
