Description
Conditional on Bjorkstrand signing an extension. Give Perfetti his 6 games and see if he can swim. If not, Bjorkstrand moves up to top 6. I like the bottom 6 in this formation.

Bjorkstrand already signed an extension...

Value-wise, this is a significantly one sided deal in favor of Winnipeg.

I still believe Laine will have a better career than Dubois. Rosy is younger than Bjorkstrand and a Columbus native. Both would help the Blue Jackets at the box office. If you kept these four pieces in the trade, what do you see Winnipeg adding?

Value wise it is close. Laine is better than Dubois by a larger margin than Bjorkstrand is better than Roslovic. It's probably easier to simplify it to a Laine for Dubois trade.

Laine and PLD are close in value, but I think you gotta give the edge to PLD based on the position he plays and the defensive side of his game.
No way the BJ's give up Bjorkstrand in a deal like this or really at all. I think Laine and Roslovic for PLD is a fair trade for both teams.
I also like the narrative of this deal. Only Finish GM in the league acquires young sniper and local kid for disgruntled C

I just can't imagine Chevy completing a trade with Columbus that doesn't include disgruntled, Columbus native Roslovic.

I think most people agree with what you have. I know some people point to Dubois being a center and better defensively. But when you have 2 players that are the same age and Laine has more than twice the amount of goals and almost 1.5 times the points of Dubois it easily cancels out that perceived advantage. Defense can be taught, scoring can't.

Well, right off the bat I'd say that Bjokstrand won't be moving given that they just extended him.

I could see PLD+mid level asset (Maybe a dman) for Laine+Roslo, but I just don't realistically see PLD ending up in Winnipeg. I think Laine is exceptional, but also think PLD's all around game/position make him just as valuable.

Roslovic has averaged .40PPG in an almost uniquely bottom 6 role. Bjorkstrand has averaged .48PPG playing predominantly a top 6 role. Rosy is 2 years younger and can play Centre. You can't tell me that Dubois's value goes up as a C but not Roslovic's. I don't see too much of a value difference between Roslovic and Bjorkstrand to most managers.

You're discounting the fact that last season, in 49 games, Bjorkstrand had a career year, with a 0.73 ppg. If this had been last year, I'd say sure, why not, but I'd rather role with Bjorkstrand and assume that he's somewhere in between (Maybe .6 ppg?) than bank on Roslo becoming something similar, when he hasn't shown it yet.
