I think u could get a little more out of Willy forsure. Perhaps Pesce+ a middle 6 forward. But yes I absolutely agree if Leafs don’t win a playoff series this year, one of Nylander or Marner will be moved

stop using point totals to make a point and stop calling Marner a perennial 100-pt guy when he's never scored 100. Obvious trolling characteristics. The beauty of the troll lies in the uncertainties.

If the Canes won't move Pesce for Laine what makes you think they would for Nylander?

Team doesn’t look bad but palmieri apparently has all the Canadian teams on his ntc so don’t see him coming to Toronto. Would rather the leafs trade Nylander for a big haul of prospects and picks and then try to sign Hamilton with the cap savings

Looks pretty solid tbh but I doubt they sign two big UFAS like Palmeri and Coleman. They still need room for Reilly the next year. My guess is they’d sign Coleman

Would be a good move tbh. Sign Hamilton and let Rielly walk the following year. By then the D would likely be:

Muzzin-Hamilton
Sandin-Brodie
Dermott-Lilly

Hamilton is a beauty, but he is prepared to sign a contract extension with the Canes frown

U think eh? I haven’t read enough about it. I’m sure they’d love to keep him though and will try everything in their power to do so.

I don't know how accurate the term and value is, but I read something similar from Pierre as well

Why don’t the leafs fans just hold tight and see how your defense shakes out this year? To me...looks like Dubas has added some pieces which should help.

Leafs fans just want change for the sake of change. If Freddy bounces back, the defense improves slightly, and the forwards added this season bring some sand paper...you should finish at top of the North.

You're talking about a team that has three super star talent's (Matthews, Tavares, and Marner), and still haven't won a round since 2004

if they trade anyone it's marner.
Not only do they dump an overpaid contract, but they get rid of Paul and all the damage he's done. It's a double win.

Name a player who can replace Marner's 90 point playmaking skill's. Is he overpaid? Yes, but can you replace the production? Absolutely not. If you don't want to see another Leaf win a cup with a different organization, you better not trade Marner.

teams don't win with wingers. Lets not pretend he's not replaceable. Teams win cups down the middle. Centers, Defense, Goalie.

So what does that make Nylander? Our depth on the wing will be affected more with Marner gone than as opposed to Nylander. You can't get 90 point player's easily off the street's or if you do a trade, you will be losing asset's you don't want to give up. Imagine if the Lightning traded Kucherov.

Nylander isn't a massively over paid contract with paul hanging around. That's what it makes Nylander.
You keep building up Marner...90 point player guy is a 20 goal scorer. We are done there.

Thank you (insert The Office meme here). The fact that many people are ignoring his age and the point's he put's up is mind boggling. He is only 23 and is producing as a 90 point player. Imagine when he hit's his prime and is not with the Leafs.
