You're a little light on Hoffman and Nuge's contract values.

Why would NSH be interested in that trade? Swap of 1sts, swap of prospects that likely won't make the NHL, and then NSH gives up the significantly better defenseman on a cheaper deal... NSH pass.

but he trades him for Burakovsky which the Avs would never do, this roster is a mess top to bottom

Flash news from a Montreal fan.

Kinkaid wouldn't even net you a 4th round pick even if he has a decent year this season, count yourself lucky if he doesn't end up in the ECHL or in the press box.

I want to be nice, but this makes it difficult. All these trades lean in the Rangers favor. All teams will pass. Gotta try to work trades from both sides. Looking for defense then look at a team with a lot of good defensemen. Then you yourself need to trade from a strength. From my view the Rangers have a lot of good young wings, I wouldn't trade kakko or lafreniere if I were you but the bigger the bait the bigger the fish. Good luck. Looks like it's your 1st post so don't take the criticism to hard and welcome to cap friendly.

Welcome to CapFriendly! Sometimes it's not so friendly.

Morgan Barron is your second-best prospect at center (behind Chytil), a position at which we have no fewer than seven -- 7, count 'em, 7 -- prospects rated better: Byfield, Turcotte, Vilardi, Madden, Anderson-Dolan, Kupari and Thomas. As a result, it's hard to imagine that we'd be willing to invest any draft pick above a fourth-rounder for him. And as @ColonelX says, that's more than Kincaid is worth.

To give you an idea of Burakovsky's worth, if Colorado protects only 4 forwards in order to shelter 4 defensemen in the expansion draft, he will be one of the four (assuming they have a handshake deal with their captain).

Let’s forget for a minute that Hoffman has a PTO and probably a handshake agreement with the blues. Wth would the Avs just not sign Hoffman if they wanted him instead of giving the Rangers a younger more dynamic guy in Burakovsky. Ridiculous
