I figured they needed to add a bit, assuming it’s a pretty late first. Just saw marner to caps a few seconds ago and tossed one together. Could be a second. Vrana and Wilson combined are a bit more than marner solo IMO

He’s a second line that brings a huge physical game.

Yeah but Panik is probably a cap dump and Vesey is chap depth. I'd make it a 2nd at most.

Second is fair I was coin flip on it as I figured leafs would be a 20 something pick

Gotta trade him before all the Toronto Sun columnists go after him.

No one who isn't just completely lost would want Wilson over Marner. Anyone who says otherwise, I question their ability to reason.

They would not add. Marner is the best asset by far in this trade, Vrana and the 1st are close to equal Wilson is less and the rest doesn't matter.

Isn't the Sun just the worst? Like their political reporting has been bad forever but now even their sports reporting is needlessly contrarian and in some cases (Simmonds), just downright malicious.

Switch the first so it comes to Toronto and yes, this is a good deal that benefits toronto for sure. As is the value is off by a lot.

Washington isn’t giving up 2 top 6 players, both added together have a lower cap hit, for Marner. Lmfao come on now. This is silly. Marner is a great player but he’s overpaid and in a flat cap era I’ll keep Vrana and Wilson. Wilson “glorified 3rd liner” lmfao won a cup w him on that top line. I’ll keep that “3rd liner” lol

Maybe starting a franchise from scratch. Any team that isn't in the basement of the league would rather have Wilson.
