This is one of the better offers for Dubois I've seen on here -- but I get the feeling CBJ would be interested in Hintz here. And if that's the case, you may be able to just swap Gurianov with Hintz. It would give CBJ an immediate center replacement for Dubois. And when Seguin returns, it would give them a nasty 1-2 punch of Seguin and Dubois and allow them to keep their top goal-scorer in Gurianov. Ultimately, I think this is a pretty good offer, regardless.

this isnt enough for Dubios. Decent prospect and a middle 6 winger and late 1st round picks dont get elite pieces.

You have to understand the situation. While the Jackets own the asset and it is their player, that doesnt mean they have leverage. THe player does not like the coach and being a part of the franchise as made known by a number of media outlets. Hintz will not go anywhere and Gurianov stock is high after the playoff run. A top 6 wing and A level prospect plus a mid-late first rounder is a very fair offer for Dubois.

This would be a massive overpayment....

He is still and RFA, so the team has all the power. Also dont see Dellandra as a A prospect, his ceiling is a #2 center, more likely to be a #3. Guiranov had a good playoff but isnt a proven talent so his value isnt sky high. All in all its two players and a late pick for a player that has already posted season totals higher then either of the players coming in will ever reach, while thats his floor.

Put it this way, MTL fans on here have been told it would take Danault extended, Caufiled and a 1st for him at MINIMUM. Danault> Gurianov , Caufield> Dellandra and Habs 1st> Dallas 1st

So take it as you may but I dont see this being close

No way dallas moves hintz especially right now. Seguin had injuries going into the bubble and had surgery after the playoffs. He is out until March.

In terms of value I think it is pretty right for today. Maybe some salary would have to go the other way. Let’s say 50% of Cogliano.

But I am pretty reluctant to trade either Gurianov, Hintz and Dellandrea. For the first two, we are just beginning to see them blossom and I am personally pretty high on Dellandrea. If Dellandrea is going to be a 2nd C, that would mean that we are trading 2 second C and maybe a first line scorer winger for a #1 center that is not in rank in the top 10 center of the league.

I do not think that Dallas as the depth to survive this trade in the future even if the value is OK today.
