PLD trades options

Description
Jumping on the PLD wagon. Do you think those trades are realistic? If not why, not enough too much, not a great fit?

I could have add the Panthers that could be interested in Dubois but there's too many ex-Jackets but besides Denisenko I don't know what Xolumbus could be interested besides Wennberg, Duclair, Bob (all ex-Jackets) that leaved, trade or buyout recently.

CBJ
  1. Kase, Ondrej
  2. Moore, John
  3. Studnicka, Jack
  4. Vaakanainen, Urho
  5. 2022 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Boston window to win is now with Bergeron and Krejci being 35 yo. Getting PLD get the window to win a little bit longer.
BOS
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Columbus receives two interesting prospects. A top 9 player in Kase. They accept to take Moore contract but they ask for 1st round in 2022.
2.
CBJ
  1. Backlund, Mikael
  2. Hanifin, Noah
  3. 2021 1st round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Columbus receives a 2nd line center that plays a style that Trotz would like. A top 4 defenseman in Hanifin (that opens the door for Valimaki to grab that spot) and Calgary 1st round.
CGY
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Dubois and Monahan could be a excellent one-two punch down the middle. Gaudreau and Tkachuk on the LW is interesting and Lindholn and Mangiapane on the right Calgary could have a dangerous top 6.
3.
CBJ
  1. Keane, Joey
  2. Skjei, Brady
  3. Trocheck, Vincent
  4. 2021 1st round pick (CAR)
Additional Details:
Columbus receives a good 2nd liner in Trocheck. A top 4 defenseman in Skjei (that opens the door for Bean for playing time) plus the 1st rounder.
CAR
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Carolina gets two elite center and their top 6 gets scarier. As said previously taking out Skjei opens the door for Bean (their best defensive prospect.
4.
CBJ
  1. Dellandrea, Ty
  2. Hintz, Roope
  3. Honka, Julius
  4. Robertson, Jason
  5. 2021 1st round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
With Seguin out until march I think Dallas needs a center and Dubois could slot nicely in Dallas. In ecchange they send a fridge top 6 in Hintz. Honka could slot on the 3rd pair and who knows a change a scenary might help him, plus Robertson. With Seguin and Dubois as long time fixture at center Delleandra won't be in Dallas long-term plan so they accept to trade him.
DAL
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Columbus gets their 2nd line center in Hintz. Honka and two good prospect. Robertson could already slot on a top 6 role in Columus with Nyquist out long term and fill a need since Columbus needs a goal scorer at lw. Delleandra could be a future top 6 center for them.
5.
CBJ
  1. Boldy, Matthew [Reserve List]
  2. Dumba, Matt
  3. 2021 1st round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Minny receives their 1st line center to play alongside Kaprizov and Fiala.
MIN
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Minny sends Dumba, Boldy (future top 6 center for Columbus) and Pittsburgh 1st round.
6.
CBJ
  1. Hájek, Libor
  2. Miller, K'Andre
  3. Strome, Ryan
  4. 2021 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Rangers get their 2nd center to give them a lethal top 6 without sacrifing Kakko or Lafreniere.
NYR
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Columbus gets a fridge top 6 player in Strome, two good prospect and a 1st rounder.
7.
CBJ
  1. Perfetti, Cole
  2. Perreault, Mathieu
  3. Roslovic, Jack [RFA Rights]
  4. 2021 1st round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Dubois centering Ehlers and Laine could be the best 2nd line in the league and all would be under control for long years.
WPG
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc
Additional Details:
Columbus receives a top 9 lw in Perreault and with Nyquist out ling term he might play on the 2nd line. They also get Perfetti who becomes expandable with Scheifele and Dubois at center and Roslovic asked for a trade, well he gets serves and get a chance to prove himself. Then it was either between a 1st round or Vesalainen, so I opted for a 1st. Winnipeg would move one of their defensive prospect in Heinola or Samberg.

I'm curious, what would a CBJ fan want from Calgary?

I'd take either the bruins trade or the NYR trade

I know most other NYR fans won't agree with me but I'd prefer to sub in Lundkvist for Miller. We need LHD and have an excess of RHD.

The values here are so all over the place it's difficult to see what real value you place on him.

Like there's no way that Boston deal is the same value as the Carolina ones. Or there's no way the Calgary one is the same value as the Minnesota.

Etc.

This post is just too all over the place.

Listen, PLD is really good, but some of these packages are too much. He had similar PPG numbers to guys like Kubalik, Meier, Monahan and less than guys who had dissapoint seasons like Hertl, Forsberg and way less than the always shat on Willie Nylander. PLD is going to have a really good career but you're treating him like a guy who has already had multiple 70 point years. need to see a little more before giving up an absolute haul

That's excessive value from the Wild. It wouldn't take that much.

Personally as a Flames fan, I would do that deal but swap the 1st for a 2nd or 3rd. PLD is good, but hes not elite. Maybe if in the next 2 seasons he were to put up over a Point a game, then sure, but not yet.

Too much going to Columbus in the Dallas trade. Dallas isn't in a position to trade their 2 best forward prospects (Dellandrea & Robertson), one of their 3 best current forwards (Hintz), and a 1st round pick. Take out Robertson & your in the right ballpark. Hintz is an immediate slot-in to Dubois' spot in the lineup & Dellandrea pushes Hintz to one of the top-6 wings when he's ready for the NHL.

Personally, I don't even know if I do that trade, but it's much closer in value. The Stars forward group is so thin that giving up multiple high-end (or potential high-end) forwards for 1 high-end forward (that is better than the ones we currently have) could leave pretty substantial gaps in the Stars aging top-6.

Holy this is bad for Dallas. Hintz is better than Dubois, plus we add JRob (who has more points than Dubois in his rookie season), Dellandrea (a former 13th overall pick), and a 1st round pick.
