That I'm aware of. I don't have the athletic so I heard it from someone on YouTube instead. To my knowledge, the possible return is unknown, I just don't see anyone making more sense than Kopitar.

Blake said he isn't trading away the future, prospects are off limits and aren't NHL ready. CBJ will likely want Kopitar retained since they are a contender and he's the perfect 1C to lead the way. He's Tortorella's dream center.

I could see them wanting Vilardi, but that's a big question mark as to whether or not he's ready to be their 1C.

That deal is terrible for the Jackets. The Kings would need to add considerablely. Dubois is 22 and still hasn’t hit his prime. A more likely deal would be Kopitar and Turcotte. Or if Turcotte is a no go then Kupari and a 21 1st round pick lottery protected.

Akil Thomas has top 6 potential which is why I added him in my counter ACGM. I'd also add Kupari if needed. I'd consider Iaffalo and or Walker too, but at that point CBJ would have to add more than Dubios and Bemstrom.

Kopitar would be a perfect mentor for all the younger centers coming up. Especially Byfield who’s just about as big if not a tiny bit bigger than Kopitar and a bit bigger than Vilardi so he could show them how to be dominant in the league with the size they have
