Why are you playing a backup over your starter?

Broberg most likely won't be an Oiler in 2021-22 - at least not out of training camp.

If Barrie fits in well, that's a fantastic deal. I like Nuge's contract too... in fact, I think you've done a great job with the contracts. BUT, the Oilers aren't going far with Russell in their top-4.

Nope. But I can read the results. One guys plays in a very defensive structure and the other doesn't, and yet...

    2018-19
    MK: .906 SV%, 8.58 HDSA/60, .806 HDSV%
    JK: .897 SV%, 7.94 HDSA/60, .772 HDSV%

    2019-20
    MK: .917 SV%, 9.16 HDSA/60, .838 HDSV%
    JK: .911 SV%, 7.34 HDSA/60, .812 HDSV%

The absence of Jones in the short term hurts them really bad. Jones' skating is great and he's about to take a step. I'd rather see a first round pick go. Kris russell isn't great at moving the puck I don't think he would cut it as a second pairing D. He is a quality 3rd pairing but i think they signed him to the extension to be the 7th D and mentor the young guys.

Nuge's contract is a year too long. I'd rather sign him to more money in the short term and tack a 2-3 year 3.2 million dollar extension on the end so you can play him at 3rd line center/wing worst case scenario when hes 33.

Huh what, you must have not seen Koskinen play I will take the .917 save percentage and top 6 goalie in the nhl that played over 30 games over the .911 goalie every time

My 2nd fav team is EDM and Koskinen is NOT a top 6 goalie in the league!!

(There's Hellebuyck, Vasy, Rask, Hart, Lehner, Shesterkin, Kuemper, Korpy, Price, Andersen, Bishop, Markstrome, and more)

So I guess you dont look at stats. You just pick the goalies out of your head

Wow look at that Korpi with one of the best D cores in the league and a 911 save percentage vs 917 for Koskinen and a terrible d core.

In fact Koskinen had the same stats as Crawford and Vasilevskiy
