Columbus is a team contending now. Thet pushes that back and they have good d and then they trade on and get multiple 1st's who will not be in the system and not with the big club for years.

Forget Manson and Savard.
Put in Steel or Terry + the picks and I think columbus accepts. As long as Columbus forward-core doesnt signicantly improve, I really dont see them competing for the cup.
Dunno why the effing way they didnt go for Hoffman+ additional firepower.

What puzzles me the most, they got 4.2M in cap. Dubinskys 5.85M goes to ltir soon. Nyquist could be in ltir for regular season (5.5M).
Adds up to frikkin 15.5M, one should think you could get something with that.
