Minny has lots of depth on the wings, especially with kaprizov coming in but definetly needs a top 6 center. Both players are similar in age and point totals, Hawks need RW badly and MN needs center badly. Both players have blossomed on their new teams.

No, it's not close at all. This is the problem with only watching stat lines and not actually knowing anything about the players. Minnesota doesn't even consider it.

Sure they need centers, but they're not trading their best current offensive player (we'll see about Kaprizov) for Strome. He could work for MIN, but Fiala would not be in the deal.

Ok Chicago is not in a position to be moving their only top 6 center for the season and Strome probably doesnt return Fiala at this point

I’d like to see Kampf on the third line this year. Not much out there suggests he’s not capable of it. For this year alone it may be worth letting him and Janmark shut it down defensively and help a young center grow his game

this season doesn't really matter honestly. We won't be competitive with or without strome

I didn't say trade Kaprizov.

I said Fiala is their top offensive player, but we'll have to see what Kaprizov does cause it might be a short-lived title.

hawks shouldn't want Dumba with hot prospects in Mitchell, Boqvist and Murphy; Dumba isn't a big need, but Minnesota should want to do that trade but not the Hawks;

Alexis Lafreniere, 18, and Pavel Novak, 18, have really similar stat lines in the NHL. Both have an identical 0+0=0 in 0 GP. The trade is 1-for-1, everyone.

You can't just check eliteprospects and decide how good a player is or isn't.
