If Gaudreau continues to struggle, this could be viable. Remember, Boeser is Right handed, and apart from Lindholm and now Leivo I guess, Calgary doesn't really have much Right Handed fire power up front. It's not unreasonable.

Gaudreau is one year removed from a 99 pt season. I doubt they would trade him for someone who has never put up 60 pts because of one bad season and player handedness

If Gaudreau CONTINUES to struggle, it could be viable. Boeser is also younger, which raises the question of whether or not the Nucks would want to do it, but if Gaudreau picks it up then yeah I see no reason why he would be traded.

VAN decline, they would much rather keep Boeser. Boeser might have injury concerns but at least he does not play scared during the playoffs.

Van should decline this, RFA status, youth, size and the fact Gaudreau might not want to sign with Van along with the upcoming deals for Pettersson and Hughes would make this complicated for Vancouver.

Huh? Not only does Boeser have injury issues, he is the strictly inferior player. Only advantage he has is RFA status

Johnny "perimeter hockey" doesn't win you championships. Boeser is the more complete player.

I guess Patrick "perimeter hockey" Kane, Nikita "perimeter hockey" Kucherov, and Phil "perimeter hockey" Kessel can't win you championships either. Boeser is not the reason you beat St. Louis

Are you serious comparing those players to Johnny? Johnny is a afraid to take hit and doesn't even want the puck in the playoffs.

How did Johnny have a higher ppg in the playoffs than Boeser then if he refuses to touch the puck?

I want to know how you are comparing proven playoff performers to Johnny? Boeser is not in that category yet. I want to know how you have Johnny in the same category has Kane, Kucherov and even Kessel.

Well Johnny is quite similar to prime Kessel in both skill and playstlye. As for the other 2 I am mostly talking about playstyle, you know, the "perimeter hockey" style that can't be effective in the playoffs. As for skill wise, I'm surprised I need to remind you of this but Johnny is 1 year removed from a 99 point season where prior to the All Star break he was pacing 117 points and still got 4th in Hart voting. But hey I guess 1 bad season means that one didnt exist and he's actually just a 60 point player like Boeser right?

Kucherov and Kane are proven playoff performers when games matter. Johnny and the Flames core have not proven anything yet.

Key word is "yet" until this year Kucherov was not a proven playoff performer when games mattered. Kane is quite a few years older than both.

As yes because 19 points in 30 playoffs games is a higher points per game then 11 in 17

Sure man, keep telling yourself that he is better but 9 out of 10 people are taking the chance that Gaudreau explodes in the playoffs like he's fully capable of vs taking Boeser
