Cost substantially more than that to dump that albatross of a contract that’s Burns 1&4 minimum
Montreal isn’t going to give you Mete to take a salary dump mid level prospect and a 2 or 3 minimum

I would honestly be very surprised if donato is in the NHL next year. I’ll be even more surprised if Seattle picks up burns.

If you put gross term get(insert player name here) out you’re not getting a top d-prospect for the dump and a 4th

Montreal isn't taking on the Salary because we don't have the space. Unless we are giving you a bad contract bad (although we don't really have one)

I didn’t think so but even if they were they wouldn’t do so for the type of deal he was offering was the point I was making that wasn’t even a realistic deal if they had the salary cap space

None of which are bad contracts... We can argue Price because he's a goalie, but if he's hot he will win games by himself.

Any contract paying Jonathan Drouin sorry I can’t stand him

That doesn't make him a bad contract. There are many players that I hate, but that doesn't mean they don't do their job

Serious question Montréal’s up by a goal five minutes left. How many minutes does Jonathan Drouin get?Don’t count a possible Montreal power-play does he get 30 seconds. Maybe if Montreal has an offense of zone face-off maybe

Julien rolls the first 3 lines, So I would say about 1:30 Drouin would get 5v5.

I'm thinking Julien's first choice is the Tatar-Danault-Gallagher line and then 2nd it's the Drouin line. This year is might even be his first choice as I believe Drouin-Suzuki-Anderson is a real game changer line.

You are really trusting Drouin late in the game with a slim lead Bad call

If we were talking about Defending a lead then I agree with you, but Drouin is one of our best offense creating wingers. What line would you think is going to be out there for the last 5 minutes?

It's not like he's the center. He's there to create offense and he does it quite well.

I must've read it wrong. Drouin isn't very good defensively so obviously he wouldn't be the top choice, but that's not what he is here for.

I understand he’s there for offenses but you can’t be a complete defensive albatross like Drouin either

Paul Byron, 7 years for Josh Anderson, kinda Kulak just because y'alls depth, Weber, and I didn't even have to look

Drouin isn't a complete disaster defensively. He's not good, but like I said, he's not here for his defense.

None of those players have bad contracts. Look at their advanced stats and you will see otherwise.

Price I forgot about. And sure currently those players are worth it currently(not Byron because he's rarely in the lineup and y'all have possibly some of the best wing depth in the league) but Weber isn't going to age well, sadly. I do think the trade doesn't make too much sense for the habs (tho the value is fair just not the situation) because of the mass amounts of re-signing they have to do this offseason
