Like others have said, this doesn't work for Buffalo.

Any PLD trade with us would probably revolve around Reinhart from a cap standpoint. But realistically, Buffalo isn't a fit for him because if he thinks Columbus is too small of a market, he ain't gonna stick around in Buffalo.

I'm not against adding Reinhart (he's very good!) but CBJ would need to bring back a potential 1C or high-end 2C in any deal. CBJ isn't lacking for forward depth, so if they move PLD they need at least one truly high-end future piece and someone who can elevate the forward group right now.

I do think Buffalo would be a good fit for Dubois and he would stick around because what he wants is a "bigger stage" which doesn't mean a bigger market, it means a more established and traditional hockey market, which Buffalo definitely is. According to Portzline the thing that makes Columbus come up short in that regard is that star players aren't treated like rock stars the way they are in other markets, so I'd think he would definitely fit in Buffalo.

Would he be willing to be 2nd fiddle to Jack? I don't think so just as ROR didn't. Like the idea but I don't think it's a fit.
I think a trade that makes more sense is Barzal for PLD as the main pieces, think CBJ would have to add a little
