Yes, please pick up Weal. That would be great, and it would mean we wouldn’t have to waive Perry. But it’s a pretty terrible move for the Pens.

Weal actually is not that bad of a pickup. I wouldn't play him on the third line though. He did well playing the fourth line last season for the Habs.

I put him there because I don't like blueger or jankowski on the 3rd line because they are more of two-way players, and weal has a playmaking element to his game.

Weal is a playmaker, but you don’t want him doing anything else. I wouldn’t put him at C at all.

He wasn’t actually good on the fourth line last year. Only 3 of his 10 even strength points last year came while he was on the 4th line, while the other 7 he was playing with Domi or Suzuki. He’s useless defensively, and he doesn’t produce enough to warrant a spot on the 4th line without being defensively sound. Which explains why Julien would be more apt to put him in the lineup of a top 6 forward spot was open, whereas he might have chosen someone else for a spot on the 4th line. So if anything, Jordan Weal is probably best suited in an offensive role on the 2nd or 3rd line of a bad team.

I really hope for Ho-sang to be pick on waiver. The player has so much talent but bad attitude.
Juuslen is a guess. Take him and if he's not doing well, send him to the waivers.
Weal is not that bad, the only thing that kick him out of MTL is because of cap situation and his cap hit.
Also the use of CJ on the PP didn't help him

Clapperzzz11, I almost entirely agree with you, but I wouldn't put Juulsen on waivers if he isn't playing well, I would swap him with ruhwedel on the taxi squad because juulsen is still very young and still has some potential.

He’d need to clear waivers to put him on the taxi squad. But you could just make him a healthy scratch.

I didn't realize that, then yes I would just play ceci in juulsen's spot and leave him as a healthy scratch

But Weal is not a center.

Nor is he a 3rd liner. Nor is he better than Blueger. Nor is he better than Lafferty.

He doesn't have the defense for 4th line, or 3rd line, and he doesn't have the offense to play top 6. You say that you want him instead of Blueger because Weal is more a playmaker, yet they scored at the same rate last year, while Blueger also then played great defensively and took faceoffs. 37 assists in 218 games does not make you a playmaker.

Blueger >> Weal, at half the cap
Lafferty > Weal at half the cap
