Well good luck Noah. I would say I wish him the best in Florida, but I hope he gets placed on waivers again.

Probably prefers it in Canada and Montreal over Florida. If I was Juulsen I would say "anyone but them!!!"

Oh yeah, that’s rough. Can you opt out after getting traded? I wouldn’t want to come within 100 km of that state.

I personnaly like Juulsen and he may become a 5th dman, but the guy hasn't played 100games since 2017. He needs time on the ice to develop, and I hope Florida doesn't sit him on the bench. If that's what they do, we will pick him back up somewhere along the road because he is not readyto have a steady role in the NHL.

I mean, if we're talking Covid, isn't Quebec pretty much the worst in the Country right now?

Do you guys have room in your lines to play him? CapFriendly lists 5 RHD on your roster.

Relative to Florida? I don't have any numbers to back it up but I'd bet Quebec is in better shape than Florida.

Not that I think any of these guys care about COVID. Most of the league is probably closer to Tony DeAngelo-type thinking than they will say publicly.

Depends on what you look at. Take a look at unemployment rates due to Covid wink

I know that many Montreal fans will not be happy with this, but this is what waivers are for and it is good that Juulsen will get a chance to crack a lineup.

I’m kinda shocked they claimed him tbh, since Florida’s D is actually solid and idk where he plays on that lineup. Waiving Juulson was 100% the right call by GMMB. They had to take the risk of him clearing waivers since he’s not NHL ready and needs to develop in the AHL. I still don’t view him as a top 4 potential guy. I guess we will see what happens with his career. I’m not sure how much opportunity he’ll get in Florida since in order to send him down he’d have to go through waivers again. Kinda shocked he got claimed tbh

Stralman isn't very good, and Nutivaara might be out for some time depending on what "unfit to play" means in his case

I’d say he is NHL ready, he just isn’t a Top-7 defenseman on the habs, which means he has to be put on waivers.

I mean at the moment I don’t see any D he’s better than on Florida... will be curious to see how this plays out. If any team were to claim him I could’ve pictured Detroit or something. Kinda shocked with Florida tbh. Maybe he’ll play if guys get injured

Yeah lmao Quebec definitely isn’t as bad as Florida in terms of cases. In Florida there aren’t many restrictions though. My buddy sent me snaps from a bar the other day lol.

Yeah a lot of my friends went to Florida for vacation and it sure doesn’t look too smart. I find it weird that out of every team the panthers are one of the only ones allowing fans

I didn’t even know the panthers were allowing fans. Probably cause they are so cash strapped for money and the government is allowing it. At this point people will pay just to watch live sports. Doesn’t matter if they are panthers fans or not

Very true. I'd assume that teams are probably taking every precaution possible. As @TheEarthmaster said, I can't imagine that there's too many of these guys that are super concerned. Plus-No state income tax in Florida!

End of the day, I'd assume this was a waiver claim made solely to collect a potential asset. They have the space to keep him on the roster for the next few weeks before the AHL season starts, which gives them the opportunity to see if he's a fit. They'll likely waive him in a few weeks, with the hope being that he clears. Very MLB-esque strategy.

It's your opinion, but I strongly disagree with it. Mete is younger, less injury prone, and one of the best transition dmen in the league, who is on par with guys like Chabot, Theodore & Karlsson in that statistic
