buffalo has made alot of great offseason moves and pittsburgh has progressively gotten worse and boston has marchand and pastrnak out to start the season

Could you explain how rangers are second? That one doesn’t make sense to me. They got Lafreniere, got a inexperienced goalie in net, and somehow they got better? If anything they won’t make it. Those two won’t make you that good, unless they have wicked seasons, which is not likely.

the rangers are making the playoffs not just because of laf and shesterkin is goated and is almost undefeated

Not when he becomes the starter. I honestly see him struggling especially with that defence.

Yeah, but they're still better than Florida and Nashville, and also they made it far in the playoffs without Bishop and Seguin didn't help immensely. I know Dobby won't have the same performance he had in the playoffs, but he had a 9.30 SV% in the regular season. Pavs is day to day he'll miss maybe a couple of games not too much to have a impact on the standings.

Edit: Gurianov, Hintz and Heiskanen will probably have a up year so that also helps.

Sabres added Hall (good) and staal whose likely over the hump. Pens didn’t get any worse this off-season. Their D is actually better and their top 6 is better as well. Pens were also the most injured team in the league last year and still finished 3rd in the division. If they’re healthy, I highly doubt they miss the playoffs, and they certainly don’t finish below Buffalo. People have been saying for YEARS Buffalo is finally gonna be competitive, and it never happens. They just aren’t that good of a team.

Yeah I don’t see NYR making the playoffs especially if they bury Laf on the third line.
