the penguins wouldn't play Sundqvist when he was here, why would they want him now?

Sundqvist turned his career around more than any NHL player I've ever seen. Going into the 2018-19 season I thought his career was over really before it ever started. He was one of the worst players I had ever seen make an NHL roster. All credit to him for turning it around because he's very much an important part of the Blues now and going forward. The Blues aren't trading him but if they were inclined to do so it'd be for much more than a 4th round pick.

If they trade him or not or his value really isn't the point.
The penguins wouldn't play him when they were desperate for centers. FFS we had Gregg McKegg at center and wouldn't play him. That's how much they thought of him. They sure as hell aren't going to trade for him.
And that's the point.

You’re missing the point. I’m agreeing with you that Sundqvist was a horrible player when he was with the Pens. He’s not the same player as he was then.

That’s my point and I think it’s you who missed the point

I get you are saying he's not the same player. But you aren't getting my point. Teams don't circle back on guys like this. It's the same people in those positions who thought so little of him they signed McKegg. So it doesn't matter what he's done, they don't view him as a fit.

LOL are we making a bet on that?

Hell he could be on pace to score 150, the penguins coaching staff still wouldn't want him. They had no use for him on their way to making bad decisions. It is what it is.
Sicarius liked this.
