Over the offseason I made a point system for power rankings and if there is enough interest I will post weekly power ranking on this thread. Let me know if you are interested!

If you click on the smiley face in the reply box and goto "Logos", you can use those instead of fussing around with html tags. Might be a little easier.

I'd be interested in seeing what your methodology is. For instance, the Devils and Bruins have identical records (1 win, 1 ot loss, 4 goals for and against), but they're really far apart on the list.

Expectations vs reality ...but also how is COL number one when they got blown out the first game ...I mean the score for the 2 games was 9-5.... Thats alot less impressive than Tampa or Philly who both are more.impressive in a goals against vs goals for.

Well Boston and NJ played each other but since Boston is a good team and NJ is not, when Boston won the first game they didn't get many points because NJ is a bad team and not ranked high, and NJ lost few points because Boston is a good team and losing to them is expected. But when NJ beat Boston in game two Boston lost good points because they lost to a bad team and NJ got a good amount of points because they beat a good team. Over time it will be more balanced in the monthly rankings. Hope this helps!

Philly is close to COL, but when you beat a good team by 8 goals you get a lot of points. TB is 2-0 against CHI, who is ranked last for me so they didn't get many points for beating the worst team.

So losing 5-1 doesn't detract any points from the team then? Cause I would take a 6-3 and a 5-2 win over an 8-0 win (where u scored 5 PP goals) and a 1-5 loss.

They did loose points but when they beat STL 8-0 it balanced the loss out so it was essentially a 4-0 win against a top team, for that series
