I really like that. Is Norris looking like a lock to make the team? And if so, in that role? I wish Logan Brown made the team in that spot tbh. Should be a fun kid line regardless. I love the Stuetzle line, I think that will provide him with two good veterans that can help his offensive ability flourish and acclimate him to the league. They probably get every ozone start lol. Bottom six is a couple of good defensive lines with some bounce back candidates and physicality mixed in. Not a great team, but definitely a team that can roll 4 lines.

Long term he's likely a centre, but he's going to start as a winger. He's going to learn a lot from Derek Stepan, and in a year or two he'll be ready play the middle of the ice.

Wonder if LB21 and Norris swap in and out until the AHL is up and running. I really want Logan Brown to get an extended look, but it really feels like the Sens will give up on him this year. I want to be excited for Josh Norris being in the lineup, but it feels bittersweet.

What would Brannstrom cost. (Caps fan)

He was traded for Mark Stone not too long ago. He hasn't lived up to the hype yet but he's still promising and the asking price would be very high. I'm not sure if the caps have something in exchange for Brannstrom that would be of interest to the sens at this stage in their rebuild.

I would hesitate to call Norris a lock until it's final. It's a good sign for sure but he would have to beat out all 3 of L.Brown, Anisimov, and Paquette (for a non-scratch spot anyway) which isn't easy considering other factors. I personally want to see L.Brown get a consistent look this season but overall I am a big fan of these lines.

This sums up how I feel perfectly lol, Logan Brown has been one of my favourite prospects for years and I really think he deserves a proper chance, but he’ll probably end up traded below market value, possibly to go flourish elsewhere frown At least Norris looks like a legit 2C long term, hopefully Stuetzle’s transition to 1C next year goes smoothly and then we’re cruising

I would be asking for McMichael, which would be a nonstarter for Washington I would imagine. Brannstrom has so much upside, the only way that deal makes sense is if you're getting a forward prospect of Similar or higher upside, then drafting a Dman like Clarke/Power/Hughes/Edvinsson.

Brown isn't going down without a fight at least. Literally, he dropped the gloves with Tkachuk at scrimmage tonight. Good to know he has that fire in him after all.

No kidding? I didn’t expect that at ALL. Kind of an issue if that’s what it’s come to, given that he plays a high IQ playmaking game (and Chucky should be the guy receiving the pass lol) but if that’s what you need to do to get DJ Smith’s attention (and given all the trades this off-season it appears it is) then good for him for stepping up and fighting the biggest SOB that won’t actually destroy his life lol (Gudbranson, Watson, or J. Brown would make that ugly). If he gains a physical edge he’d be unstoppable.

Apparently it came as a response to Brown laying a big hit on Chabot. I'd love to see Brown develop that physicality to go with the size and the skill, but probably not the guys to be trying it with.

Yeah I can agree with that. I’ve personally never had a problem with hitting in practice (as long as it’s clean naturally) so hopefully that gets taken as a plus for physicality and not a minus for it being Chabot. Naturally Brady is the golden boy ofc hahaha

Makes sense I just assumed they might be getting impatient with him. As for the capitals prospects we have a few good ones. Lappy Mcmichael Alexeyev and Fehevary.

Wasn’t sure if Kuzy or Orlov would have any value to the Sens.

He only turned 21 in September, and he's already got 30 games of NHL experience. He's pretty much right on track with his development. Probably won't see a whole lot of time this year until the deadline, but that seems to be by design with how management has built this team this year.

I can't see trading for guys like Orlov or Kuznetsov considering where those players are in their career compared to the Sens, and I wouldn't be interested in a lesser D prospect like Alexeyev or Fehervary either. I'm also not a big fan of LaPierre, who I'm not really convinced of in terms of upside, even putting aside injury concerns.

I would say based off games in the Nhl Fehevary looked like the better player but small sample size for him.
