What I want for Yandle

Created by: VijayPatel11
Team: 2020-21 Florida Panthers
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 12, 2021
Published: Jan. 12, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
not necessarily this exact trade, but one in a similar mold
Trades
FLA
  1. Garland, Conor
  2. Goligoski, Alex
Additional Details:
Sending cap back to us, provides decent defensive presence (albeit not worth his contract). Also, we get a cheap, promising young forward who can make our top 6 look more like a top 6.

To be honest, this is probably terrible for Arizona but I would like to see something of this nature happen, where we give a very solid offensive defenseman for a bad contract and a good young player.
ARI
  1. Yandle, Keith
Additional Details:
Great offensive defenseman on not the worst contract. Also he goes back to Arizona, though I don't know whether or not he waives to go there.

We can't know for sure what he does with his life, and I think it's silly when you hear people say "_____ won't waive for _____ team."

Goligoski isn't a bad contract. One year left and scored +30 points. He had quite good season.

AZ likely doesn’t want to part with Garland. He’s young, cheap and fills the net on a team that needs all 3 of those things.

Would you send them Borgstrom too if that would help any?

Yandle and his contract have no value. Actually they have negative value. It’s like a Tyler Johnson situation except he is older and worse. He isn’t even good eneough to make Florida’s lineup. Drop garland, they are not getting anything valuable for him. Probably have to add a first and a second just to get some team to take him.

Do you know what’s funnier than a person saying oh guy that Isn’t going to wave. The only guy dumber than that is the guy Who trades a guy with a no movement clause there is absolutely no leverage the team has to get him to wave so assuming you think he’s going to wave is even dumber people sign no movement clauses because they like where they’re going.

Yandle a solid defenseman hahaha

Do you even know what you're talking about?

Ya dole had 45 points in 69 games last year. He was on pace for 53 points in a full season. He's a premier puck moving guy, doesn't miss any games, and can QB any PP in the league, & you think he has negative value?

I think I just pissed myself laughing at the comment. 😂😂

He is a complete defensive liability first of all. Second he is literally being scratched by the Florida panthers, he is not good eneough to make the team, not an opinion but a fact. He is 34 years old and makes 6.3 mil in a flat cap world. The Florida panthers want to put him on waivers (give him away for free) but he has a NMC. Please tell me how the player that is not good eneough to make the florida panthers is so valuable.

He's a proven guy. A consistent 50 point guy on the backend. As for why he's being scratched, you have no idea why. If you read that tweet that you cited, it says Yandle doesn't factor into their plans for the season. That suggests more that they want to have a youth movement than he's not good enough. Again, a consistent 50 point d-man with only $13.2M left on his contract is more than valuable. Saying he's a negative value just because you think you know why he's a scratch right now, says nothing. There will be plenty of teams looking to add him. None will force Florida to add a 1st and 2nd round pick like you said. None.

If he didnt have a NMC he would be on waivers like the report I linked said. Which means Florida is willing to lose him for nothing, if another team would take him for free is different. People said the same thing about Tyler Johnson, shocked when he was on waivers then he passed twice. If Florida tries to move his whole cap hit it will likely cost a first+ (Similar to the ask for Fleury). If they take a cap dump back maybe they can trade him for less. He will definitely not be traded for any value.

Everyday he is scratched, the more his value decreases. I suspect he will be bought out next summer.
