I think Yandle could be a good leader for Drysdale to help him develop a bit. Might just be me though.

Much like TJ I feel Yandle will cost FLA to move. At the very least I would 100% be against giving anything of even moderate value up for him. Best case he gets a 5th from me. If all Schmidt got was a 3 no chance Yandle gets that or more like you have here.

He would be an interesting add but FLA would have to pay significantly for me to be interested

What were you thinking? Because I believe he could be a great leader / linemate for the young defenseman

Would need to send Backes back cap wise and would want some retention from FLA to offset the real money difference on top of at least a 3 coming from FLA

Let’s say

Yandle (Retained so AAV is 4M)
4th round pick
Prospect around the value of a guy like Axel Andersson
For
Backes

I guess? Not great but I’m not really sure 😂

Tj has more value to Seattle than Yandle 1: Johnson is a very solid 3rd liner and PP guy. 2 Stanley Cup and a lot of deep playoff runs 3 Hometown kids comes home to help build the Franchise. How may Johnson 9 jersey’s get sold. And the Lightning add a 3&5

Oh I agree that TJ has more value. Just meant the comp in the way they will both cost at this point at least a 1st or cap going back to move.

By this point I mean a trade today

Doesn’t change the fact that taking on that much money in a world where most teams that have the cap for him recorded huge financial losses and would need to be paid a premium to take on 20M in cap. SEA taking him is nowhere near a guarantee and you’re probably going to have to pay them to take him so TB is going to have to pay the team taking him more than what it would take SEA to take him to make it even remotely worth trading for

Ok and as I said earlier at least a first, which value wise works out close to what you said so I think we’re on the same page here 😂
