We still would’ve waived Juulsen and probably kept Perry on the roster. It’s unfortunate, but he just didn’t have a roster spot on this team, so it was always Laval or claimed off waivers for him.

Point still stands, habs would have more cap space if they didn't buyout Alzner yet. At the time it was said to be a favour to Alzner, although he wasn't even able to get a PTO (or did he and I just didn't hear about it?) even when teams have the taxi squad.

Would have preferred to wait until next year to buy Alzner out or even pay the price to trade him, retains some salary, etc.

The reason MB bought out Alzner was the cap saving they'll get next year.

Look at Habs cap situation next year. Its highly possible that if MB didnt BO Alzner, we'd for sure lose one of our remaining free agents next year that now, we'll have the option resign.

I like Juulsen but im not losing any sleep over him.
