Yes, Only if no other team offered a Kakko, Zegras, Cozens, Turcotte center-pieced deal. I don't see Jeff Gorton or John Davidson moving Lafreniere or Kakko. Just a hunch.

He requested a trade. He's now a tainted commodity for CBJ. The longer he stays the more the situation will deteriorate. Jarmo is a tough negotiator but I simply don't see any teams doing that type of deal especially in this environment.

It means he doesn’t want to be in Columbus and won’t even make it to UFA period. He wants to have little time this season in Columbus. So his value will be tainted to get him out of Columbus. Your not understanding the point. He does not want to stay in Columbus for his full two years on his contract. Which after his contract is up he turns into a RFA. Which also he is a very elite player but not everyone will be shopping for him due to the cap being flat. I also thing we shouldn’t even go for him because we had to sign Igor, foxy and zibby the year he is a RFA.

Well, he’s signed for two years, but then he’s an RFA with arb rights, and then he’s an RFA with arb rights the year after that too. Not likely columbus should be in a hurry.

It’s also not like this is a new story. Players have wanted out of small markets forever. Normally it doesn’t hit the media, but it’s not like it means they have to move him for whatever they can get. Shea Weber hated Nashville. Worked out there for quite some time.

The jackets are not motivated to sell right now. They may, long term, see that they have to move the player, but there is absolutely zero need to move quickly.

Also that will add up to abt 18-25 mil in cap. When u add on PLD it could go to 25-32 mil

CLB would ask for one of Kakko or Lafrieniere for sure, but they dont get AF IMO...Kakko probably.
