I did this before looking at anyone else’s, but it seems like we’re all in agreement on most things. Also, I’d like to add the inverse of the age category, where a player is a lot older than you think they are, and I’d say Petry seems a lot younger than he actually is.

Crazy to think that we're the best team in the division so far and that we have not lost in regulation yet. I know we're tied with the Leafs, but we have one less game too.

We need it. It cost us 2 games already, and it could’ve cost us tonight. Thank god we’re so dangerous short handed. The Suzuki penalty was BS, but all the other ones were deserved.

But honestly, amazing game by the habs. Our only real flaw so far was our only flaw tonight, although a -1 goal differential when shorthanded ain’t too shabby.

Joel Armia had a good game redeeming himself in the eyes of the fans. The hit was rough, I really hope he & Byron are ok.

Pretty much everyone was great. Hard to find a hab that didn’t play well. Allen wasn’t tested much, and the 3rd pairing didn’t have an eventful night, but all 4 forward lines were great.

I think we have our best team in a long time, we have 2 capable goalies, incredible forward depth and our lines are clicking, good defensive depth and chemistry, a good PP and a decent PK but it can score
our only problem is DISCIPLINE, please take less penalties

Hmm, no Frolík. I guess that either Byron is good to go, or we’re using 7D tonight.

Game Analysis

1st
Montreal was putting the pressure early
Myers fought Edmundson to everyone’s surprise
Good opportunities early for the Habs
Stupid penalty taken by Anderson
Good opportunities for the Canucks on the PP
Good play by Kulak for a Suzuki goal
Canucks pressured after the goal, good chances for them
Right after Montreal pressures and get good scoring chances
Canucks with a good chance, scrum around the net
Anderson seemed to get tripped, no penalty
Perry slewfoot Sutter, Canucks PP
Canucks hit the crossbar on the PP, good puck movement by them
Boeser slashed Kulak on the PP so 4-4
Shots were 11-5 in the first for Montreal, Both teams were doing good, again Montreal lacked a bit of discipline

2nd
Montreal starts with 1:14 of PP, Canucks with a good PK
Right at the end of the PK, Beagle take a penalty, so Habs back on the PP
Montreal had a good PP, good movement, control and a couple chances
Montreal continued the pressure, the Toffoli line had a couple chance, Toffoli missed a wide open net, Perry was doing good
Suzuki cleared the puck over the glass, Canucks another PP
Evans hit the post short-handed, Toffoli got pushed into Holtby by Hughes and then Horvat throws a couple punches towards Toffoli, Toffoli gets a penalty for goalie interference ( why ), Horvat gets a roughing, Canucks still on the PP
Canucks with good chances after the Toffoli and Horvat penalties
Canucks with good chances, but right after 3 on 2 and Perry with the goal seemed like he wanted to pass and puck squeaked five hole
Price with a good save on a 2 on 1, Canucks put the pressure on the Habs after the Perry goal
Lehkonen shows some speed
Montreal in the offensive zone, Perry with a good chance, The Toffoli line is doing well
Kk with a breakaway and Holtby stops him
Shots were 18-13 after the 2nd for Montreal, Price was doing really good, both the Habs and the Canucks were getting good chances

3rd
Point shot by Hughes tipped by Petersson by what might’ve been a high stick, 2-1 Habs
Canucks putting pressure, trying to tie the game and then they score, Nils Hoglander ties the game
Anderson almost scores right after
Lehkonen gave a cross-check in the back, no penalty, right after Gallagher scores with a great shot top shelf, Vancouver challenges the goal, it was very close to being offside, Danault was offside but no one touched the puck so he was onside by the time Tatar touched the puck so it’s a good goal, Vancouver gets a delay of game penalty for the coaches challenge on a good goal
Right after the Habs PP expires, the Canucks get a couple of good chances
Drouin on the breakaway scores five hole, Montreal has a 4-2 lead with 7:16 left
Holtby gets pulled with 4 minutes left
Montreal’s putting pressure but no empty netter
After an offside, Edmundson does a nice high clear that goes straight in the middle of the net, 5-2 Montreal with around 3 minutes left
Canucks putting pressure for a shift then Montreal does the same, Drouin almost scores with the same move as his breakaway goal

Overall
Price with a good game, becomes the 5th youngest goalie to reach 350 wins
All 4 forward lines did really well, so did the d pairs
Montreal is still undefeated in regulation

I thought it was a good game overall for the Habs last night. They outplayed Vancouver for the first 2 periods but slipped up in the first 6ish minutes of the 3rd. I was really impressed with the response last night after the 2-2 goal by VAN. I thought Toffoli-KK-Perry was our best line last night and I thought Perry was our best player. Price played well last night. He made one great save on Virtanen and fought through traffic to make saves all night. Great win for the Habs!

Suzuki gets so much love and attention in the media right now (well deserved), that KK is slowing becoming an underrated guy. During the VAN series I think KK was the better C (at 5v5) of the two.

I know Kk is maturing really fast with Toffoli, also we have so many players doing well so the media can’t focus on everyone

"The Canadiens won't be good, they don't have a game changer"

The team with no game changers is #1 in the NHL right now.

As @A_Habs_fan said, having Toffoli with him has really helped. This seems like it's going to be a great bounce back year after being sent to the AHL last year. I've really loved the veteran presence that MTL has brought in with Toffoli and Perry. We haven't even seen Frolik yet either. I really credit MB for the way he took advantage of the situation this offseason.
