Ben Chiarot says hi.

On the positive side, it’s nice to see that Evans, Lehkonen, & Staal all aren’t out long-term.

I've never once thought about switching my allegiance to another team more than I have in this past week. Absolutely pathetic performance, I'm ashamed to be a Habs fan this week. This team deserves nothing. I don't even care about the terrible bias reffing in this series, we are being outcoached, out skilled, and out worked. Bergevin has built a terrible cap team and our future looks terrible with all of these long term contracts to veterans. What a disgrace.

I'm so glad I'm not a Habs fan! #LetsGoCanes! Carolina Hurricanes

NGL, if they announced that Quebec was getting another team or anywhere in the maritimes, I'm switching allegiances permanently.

I'm definitely a Colorado fan now though lol

If Jordan Harris is watching the Habs, not sure he's impressed by Romanov's treatment. Might have an impact on his future here

Yeah hes gotta be gone. I usually know when a GM is about to get the boot when the team's roster is in a virtually irreparable position. Making it almost impossible for the next guy to fix anything within the following couple years alone.

IMHO, fixing this mess will take some major luck. Weber back to Nash to retire on LTIR in a year or two. Price to Seattle with a couple sweeteners. Drouin either coming back to normal or being traded for someone who can play here.

As much as i like MB, he's probably gone, he hasn't done bad, but hasn't been amazing either, he's worked with what he has as we can't rebuild and there are certain pressures that make it almost impossible to GM the team

I don't think it's that bad. It could have been way worse if Danault & Tatar were already re-signed with some kind of trade protection clauses. Petry & Gallagher were locked-in just before the mess, but it's not a bad thing to keep them around to lead their respective group, same with Price. Drouin was likely gone regardless, and he still doesn't have a negative value.

The problem with MB has been his inconsistency. He has done great in some things and terrible in others. What does that yield? Mediocrity.

Of course everything could be worse but it sure isn't peachy right now. Converting this team from what it is to a young contending team will take years. Mark my words. This isn't an easy fix. Not even close.

yep, not an easy fix, many things would have to go right which includes letting us tank, stop limiting our choices in GM/Coach ( will never happen but should ) and many others

There are many signs that Bergevin isn't coming back.

Pretty accurate and sad there's no way Gustafsson should be in over Romanov

This team reminds me of the Leafs before MLSE bought them. The entire organisation needs to be rebuilt starting at the top. More than 1 person needs to be in charge

Man, this series may just be the worst ive ever seen Weber and Petry play.

Everything Weber is involved in turns to crap.
Petry looks either bad or invisible. Not good invisible either.

I thought Weber’s actually looked better in the playoffs than this year’s regular season. He’s nowhere near the Shea Weber of a year ago, but he was even worse before his injury.

Completely agree about Petry.

We’re going to be like Edmonton aren’t we? Ducharme’s decision to forgo a third pairing is really not looking good with extra time on the way.

I understand that we probably wouldn’t have won the series anyways, but if we lose because a linesman called an icing where there wasn’t one is the reason for the habs getting eliminated, I’ll be ****ing furious.

I think Weber wasnt great during the season but playoff Weber has been atrocious.

Petry has been so invisible in these playoffs. Thats what so bad about his play.
