Such a stupid question. Isn’t Price like half First Nations too?

I think he's 100% of Native heritage, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the "Indian Status". Anyways, good topic but very, very poor timing

Carey Price is now the first 10m$ player in NHL history to reach the 2nd round.

Holy crap, you’re right. That’s surprising, especially what I had in my mind about Kane & Toews. Bobrovsky or Panarin could be #2 (or maybe McDavid or Matthews/Marner/Tavares).

Wow, this guy is crazy. 2nd most shocking upset of the decade seems like a bit of a stretch when it was Montréal’s 2nd most shocking upset in the last 10 months.

Technically, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews did win a round last year, but it counted as round 0 to round 1.

Oh yeah, I just forgot that Chicago hasn’t won a playoff series since they won the cup in 2015. They were a really good team for 2 more seasons, but it didn’t work out in the playoffs.

Makes sense. It would be a tough decision as to who to take out of the lineup, and the habs also give Lehky some time to recover to 100%.

So just like everyone predicted, we're 7 games and 1 period into the playoffs and Eric Staal is leading the habs in points per game. (And tied for first in points)

So unless Jon Merrill gets back from injury, Alexander Romanov will make his Stanley Cup playoffs debut on Friday.

Well that was a terrible end to a win. Hoping for the best for Jake. Lehkonen probably takes Evans’s spot in the lineup, while Gustafsson is certainly getting scratched, since the habs didn’t even trust him to play on the PP after his giveaway.

Garbage play by scheifele ruins a great game by Habs. What a garbage hit. He better get the book thrown at him.

Great Game by Montreal overshadowed by the Evans hit, I’d want to see like a 3 game suspension but 1-2 is probably more realistic

I think Tatar does too complete the Tatar Danault gallagher line.

I doubt it. Lehkonen just got back from injury, and he’s been much better than Tatar in the playoffs this year. At this point in time Tatar is bringing absolutely nothing of value. Lehkonen makes sense on the 1st line because he’s played well with Danault & Gallagher in the past, and without Scheifele, Winnipeg is a lot more top-heavy, so it would benefit the habs to use the Danault line in a defensive role.

Hell yeah! This is very surprising considering the fact that he had a year left on his contract with Frolunda.

Well if he doesn't make the team he'll go to Frolunda

He doesn’t have to, but he can return to Sweden if he wants. Although that is likely the plan, considering how many D Laval has signed right now, with 5/6 defenseman plus Leskinen/Olofsson not having contracts yet.

His contract has a european assignement clause so he either makes the team or goes to Europe

An EAC means he has the option to return to Europe. If he wanted to be could play for Laval, but it is likely he returns to Sweden.
