Interesting interview with Waite in LaPresse. Clearly, MB fired him because he wanted to send a message to Price: get your sh** together.

Since he took over in 2012, MB's master plan (build around the starting goalie) has failed to show any kind of progress, and he knows he's likely gone if it fails again this year.

So for some reason, I’m unable to include a tweet, but Canucks defenseman Guillaume Brisebois has been loaned to Laval. Which is good for the team, but bad news for Jacob LeGuerrier.

As for the Tweets, I noticed that it doesn't seem to work on a mobile device, at least for me.

Do you take “mobile.” out of the URL, that could be your problem

Petry best player on our team and Toffoli best forward, also you couldn’t give Danault 1 goal ? I mean he won’t go 56 games scoreless right *looks around*

I'd much rather have any single player on an AHL contract play over Brisebois as there's a slight chance they could get an NHL contract with Montreal. Don't like benefitting other teams.

There’s absolutely no chance Halbert or Paquette-Bisson get NHL contracts. They’d be ECHLers in a normal year.

Would rather two ECHL players signed with Montreal over anybody that's signed with another NHL team.

Failed to show any progress? You must really put a lot of weight into games 11-19 of a regular season. Toffoli, Edmundson, Allen, Anderson, Petry, Gallagher, etc. must have all wanted to sign/extend here for no reason then. And all those TSN/CBC mopes must have predicted that the Habs would be favoured to come out of the Canadian division in the playoffs for no reason, despite, as we all know, Toronto being the center of the universe.

Price will be fine. Burke can bring in whatever goaltending coach he feels will best impact Price at any given point in time. Waite was great. Everyone has a shelf life.

Anderson is back! I guess that means Drouin - Suzuki - Armia are reunited like they were in the playoffs?

Interesting, though at this point i'd break up the Danault line, and keep the Suzuki line together

We really really really really really need a top pairing LHD. Could you imagine if that happened and then we slid down Chiarot and Edmundson?

A top LD would be welcomed, but we need to be wise. I don't who you have in mind, but I'm seeing many Ekholm trades out there. There's no need to overpay another guy in his 30s when his contract and is up and, most importantly, we shouldn't trade away valuable young assets for a guy that won't put us over the top right now nor in the future.

Ok, I guess he was just hanging out with his teammates before getting undressed after warmups.

I was skeptical of having Toffoli-Kk-Anderson on the same line but early returns seem to be good

Phillip Danault is having his best game of the season tonight. Two great setups on Gallagher’s goals.

Would love to see another Scandella-esque trade except for an offensive minded defender.

You mean a guy with a diminished value due to circumstances (Scandella was UFA and his team sucked). Then I’d take a look at Haydn Fleury if Carolina doesn’t want to lose him for nothing. Dennis Cholowski is also a guy I’d take a flyer on, but only if he comes really cheap.
