You mean a guy with a diminished value due to circumstances (Scandella was UFA and his team sucked). Then I’d take a look at Haydn Fleury if Carolina doesn’t want to lose him for nothing. Dennis Cholowski is also a guy I’d take a flyer on, but only if he comes really cheap.

Yes that is exactly what I'm talking about. Somebody that brings offense to our LHD. We need to be creating more offense on that side. Chiarot has been underwhelming and Edmundson doesn't bring any offense whatsoever.

That could help, but would they be worth the cost for the improvement over Kulak? Especially with the quarantine. Although I guess it wouldn’t be as bad if we can get someone making less than a million on a longer than 1 year deal.

I've seen an idea tossed around by some Devils fans today. Chiarot and a 3rd for Will Butcher. I wouldn't be opposed to that.

It could work, but he’s making a bit too much money for me to be ok with the idea of taking that risk when we don’t know what Butcher will be. Although depending on how the rest of Butcher’s season goes, that could make a good offseason move.

So now that Anderson is back from injury the habs can start sending down players on off days to accrue cap space again. Assuming we don’t have any more injuries (and that Paul continues to clear waivers when he needs to) and that the remaining off days are split equally between Suzuki, Evans, and Romanov (since KK is only 2 games away from waiver eligibility), Montréal is looking at about $3.65 million in deadline cap space. Although that could increase if any of Byron, Suzuki, Evans, or Romanov are healthy scratches at any point.

Don’t worry, we’re not wearing the Reverse Retros tonight.

Man I can't wait until Danault scores just to shut everyone up about the fact that he has 0 goals. There's so much misunderstanding of his game on here. I've seen a guy today saying that he's worse than Andrew Copp.

With Brisebois not yet with the team and Ouellet called up to the taxi-squad, Tobie Paquette-Bisson is making his Rocket debut tonight. It’s his 2nd career AHL game after playing 1 game for Rochester 2 years ago.

The forwards are veteran-heavy, with Myšák, Khisamutdinov, and Hillis sitting out.

A great goaltending battle that was ruined by this idiotic f*cking skills competition.

I cannot wait until the playoffs, when we don’t have to deal with the shootout and 3-on-3 crap.

We need a top pairing LHD so bad. Chiarot was the reason Vancouver scored to tie it.

I'm turning off the games when they go to OT from now on. They are absolutely dreadful to watch in OT.

after this game we can conclude that:

chiarot is trash
weber is trash
suzuki is lazy
tatar thinks he is marek malik
and drouin thinks he is kucherov or maybe he just lost the puck
anderson in OT was trash
petry in OT was sleeping

Price is jesus depending on the game

Chiarot Weber trash - Facts
Everyone knows Suzuki is lazy but IDC for is skills
I don’t mind the Tatar move
Drouin did lost the puck
Anderson lost the puck with 40 secondes left which was bad, but he’s not trash in OT because of that
Petry is doing fine

The problem is Chiarot and Weber plays wayyyyyy too much minutes

dont get me wrong, Petry is amazing but during that OT period everyone, including Petry and excluding Price was asleep. Tatar doing that move when the game is on the line is something i am not for. If he did that on the first two attempts then maybe I would be fine with it but not when the game ends if he misses. Price, Petry, and Anderson had good games but, apart from Price, they were lazy af in OT and they turned it over which lead to a Vancouver domination in the last minute. He isnt trash but that one lazy mistake could have cost them the game in OT. And for Suzuki..... he needs to drink more coffee.

No, Scott’s just speculating. But his season will end at some point in the next 3 weeks, and he’ll probably be signed soon after that.

So Winnipeg and Edmonton are now the only teams Ben Chiarot hasn’t been in a fight against this year. And he seems to have injured his hand, and if he’s out it’s a massive opportunity for Mete/Romanov.

It might hurt the team a bit, but it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
