If the players coming out of the lineup are forwards, Ducharme is doing a great job trying to bring the habs under investigation by the NHL.

Although I guess he could switch a D out for Gustafsson without arousing suspicion/potentially breaking the laws of the CBA.

Good for him, he did decent when he played in the NHL last year and will hopefully replace Weber as a 2nd pair D soon

I don’t think he’s ever going to be a top 4 D, but he should definitely be a good option for the 6th or 7th D next year.

So Toronto it is. It’ll be interesting to see who’s out of the lineup tomorrow. I’d expect Anderson or Tatar at forward come out of the lineup, since they appear to be a bit banged up. No D have shown signs of injury, so I guess Petry might be scratched, as he is our most important D.

The Canadiens recalled defenseman Xavier Ouellet and forward Jesse Ylönen from the AHL’s Laval Rocket. Both of them are available to play in tonight’s game against Edmonton. #GoRocket #GoHabsGo

Let’s go! So pumped to see Jesse play!
Although I guess this means that at least 2 of our D (other than Weber) are beat up, since otherwise Ouellet wouldn’t be able to play. (This also means that Gustafsson is playing today)

I wonder what number Ylönen will wear today? He wore 56 at development camp, 26 for Laval (but that’s obviously taken), and 72 everywhere else. I’d love for him to get 72, but knowing Bergevin it’ll be 13 or 36. (The 2 lowest available numbers) Or even 20/25, since neither Poehling nor Fleury are on the team right now.

Edit: And he better have the accent on his name. They didn’t do it Frolík, but Ylönen probably has a better chance, because they did it in Laval.

It always annoys me when French players don't have the accent so i understand that feeling.

Basically any name without the accent is annoying. Like how hard is it to spell someone’s name correctly? The good news is that it seems to be getting more common lately that they get the names correct, whereas it was extremely uncommon some years ago when Michael Frolík was starting his career.

Alright, now we’ve gone too far. For Lindgren to be on the bench that would mean that Allen is injured. Which he has shown no outward sign of up to now. It seems like the habs are playing with fire in regards to who is actually injured, and it could land them in serious trouble if the NHL catches on.

So they ''created'' injuries to Allen, Toffoli, Staal, Edmundson

So in the end, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Nick Suzuki are the only players who will end up playing 56 games this year.

10 of the 20 players in the lineup today have played for the Rocket at some point. (Kotkaniemi, Caufield, Evans, Belzile, Frolík, Ylönen, Kulak, Ouellet, Primeau, Lindgren) Which I’d assume is the most that have ever played for Montréal in the same game.

Great Article, i've always been a Toffoli fan since i watched him play for the Ottawa 67's and now he's helping to lead my favourite NHL team.

So it looks like Shea Weber and Brendan Gallagher are buddies in having left thumb injuries.

I know I'm not supposed to be angry at Drouin, but why couldn't he of went on leave before the TD so we could at least replace him? I don't think we ever see him play another game for the Canadiens

Maybe wait until we find out the reason before judging him. Also, I don’t think the habs would have or should have added a forward at the deadline if they knew they wouldn’t have Drouin.

It's honestly pretty ridiculous. The French Media pretty much demands we have a french presence on this team, but then criticize literally everything that player does on and off the ice.
