I do really like Dvorak, as you said good Danault replacement

Might be bold, but I'd have to imagine Montreal might be interested in Eberle as a top 6 forward, I wonder what flips we might see today

I think side deals happen today, flip and post-expansion moves tomorrow

I don't think Seattle would be that interested in trading their only top 6 forward😂

Let's be honest, unless there's some crazy side deals, this team is headed nowhere. Bottom 3 team

It's so disappointing, and it looks even worse with Oleksiak's 5x4.6M$

oof

Bergevin on Weber : He won't be back next season, and probably won't be back for his career.

That's straight to the point. Sad for him

Drouin - Suzuki - Caufield
Toffoli - KK - Gally
Lehko - ??? - Anderson
Byron - Evans - Perry? Armia?
Poehling

Edmundson - Petry
Chiarot - ???
Romanov - ???
Kulak

Allen
Primeau

So needs would be :
2c-3c
top 4 RD (possibly for PP)
top 6 RD (possibly for PK)
tandem G if Price is out a while (if not Primeau could play couple games to rest Allen)

Ideally:
- Phillip Danault/Mikael Granlund/Christian Dvorak
- Dougie Hamilton/Tyson Barrie
- Travis Hamonic/David Savard/Mark Pysyk
- Louis Domingue/Michael McNiven (or anyone who will take league minimum)

I think Perry is penciled in as the 12th forward, and Poehling can play his way into a roster spot.

I was thinking Schmidt too. Or maybe Dunn gets flipped to MTL?

I also like Granlund or Dvorak instead of guys like Bonino. Danault had such a big role. I'm not sure our 3 young centers can fill that role with a small help in Bonino. Granlund or Dvorak bring more

Bonino has actually had sneakily good seasons though, he’s been putting decent points and is a good 2c

I agree with pretty much all of this, MB says Price is out for 6-8 weeks so he should be okay

I know, I'm hyped for Drouin’s return too, hopefully he can perform to his full potential, still rooting for him, show the doubters wrong

I’d be happy with him just shooting more. He was definitely lacking confidence in his shot this season, and it limited his options and led to more turnovers.

Schmidt is too much money, plus he’s a LHD, which isn’t ideal. Same with Dunn.

Montreal's 2021-22 schedule

We start the season on opening night against Toronto again. Florida is on the last game of the season, which hopefully/probably won’t mean anything.

I can't remember the last time we started the season at home
and I have a feeling that the last game against Florida will decide who will make the playoffs

So Marc Bergevin is one of the best GMs in the league, but I’m not sure how good of a person he is. That’s rough. That’s real rough.

So, ummm… the habs picked a RHD like I wanted. But, yeah, not the guy I wanted.

not a good look for Bergevin, for sure.

The decision to desist the draft was his, that's what I don't like with the pick. MB should have respected it instead of going against Mailloux's will. He wanted to work on himself, now he gets tons of negative attention he wanted no part of.

I’m just at a loss for words. I honestly don’t really cares what Mailloux says, he’s a disgusting human being, and it physically hurts me to know he’s in the organization. This is just baffling on so many levels, and the fact that we just wasted a 1st round pick! isn’t even the worst part.

Will Logan Mailloux sign his ELC with the Habs?

We should now start talking about whether Marc Bergevin will allow Mailloux to make six figures.

my money would be on "it takes possibly a few weeks too long, but the Canadiens will inevitably renounce the rights to Logan Mailloux, à la the Coyotes and Mitchell Miller."
