As a Leafs fan I would love for Buffalo to do this.
As a hockey fan I think it would be an extremely bad idea for BUF. ngl Reinhart is a bit underrated and giving up him as well as high picks would be a bad idea.

If CHI trades Kane...it'll be an apocalyptic rebuild. Quinn or Cozens is a requirement and either 2021 or 2022 is a requirement.

Then its simple Chicago Rejects, Chicago isn't trading Kane and taking on 2 cap dumps and not even getting a top prospect

Imagine trading Patrick Kane and handicapping your team 7.5 mil for the next three seasons as part of the return. Easy no.

Imagine thinking the next 3 years will matter when Malcom Subban is your starter

That has nothing to do with your trade being hot garbage.

They wouldnt get better than this, especially when Kane asks out because the team has returned to mediocrity and has no plan in place to get better

They would 100% get better than this. Take out Okposo and ghost then maybe. Getting rid of that 7.5 mil for three years would cost probably the value of three first rounders. Toronto gave up their first to get rid of Marleau at 6.5 with one year left. Your assets included might be enough to cover the dump based on value from the Marleau dump. So what are you giving up to get Kane? Do you seriously not see the problem of trading one of the best players in the game for a return that includes 7.5 in cap dumps lasting three years. They aren’t going to just do you a solid because they might be bad. Chicago holds all the cards in a Kane trade.
