Man...I'd prefer Comtois in the lineup over Lundestrom. I'm hoping for big things from Hakanpaa as a shutdown RD though. Realistically, the D doesn't look *That* bad if they play to their potential.

Same here, to me though LW2 was his to lose and he seemingly lost it. I feel like they are going to alternate games for a bit in somewhat of an extended tryout situation.

I'm very excited for our 3rd D pair tbh, between Larsson getting full time minutes and Hakanpaa and Curran alternating it will be interesting to see what happens.

Shattenkirk really strengthens our D, I am very happy with the group we have for this season. I think Manson being on pair two will help him a ton as thats where he played when he was at his peak.

Can't wait for tonight!

Definitely excited. It's hard to be a Ducks fan on the east coast of Canada, but I guess I'll just have to skip a bit of sleep tonight!

Also pumped to see Curran get a shot at some point. Based on his SHL numbers, he could be a good option for some PP minutes at some point.

I know the pain tears of joy I live in southern ontario ahah games starting at 10pm sucks but I never miss any of them, sleep is for the weak tears of joy

I'm super excited for him to get some time, guy worked his tail off for a NHL job and I'm happy he got it with us, I would have been rooting for him regardless where he ended up

I feel like that's the theme for the entire team. This team SHOULD be competitive if they play to their potential. But this was also the main theme prior to last season. One way or the other I think we're going to find out if this really is a bad team and one that has been in progress this whole time.

And agree about Comtois. I have not impressed with Lundestrom's offensive game so I'm hoping the coaches are seeing something in him right now that we haven't the last couple of years. Considering Comtois has produced quite well in his limited action, I'm surprised this is how things have shaken out so far. We'll see I guess.
