Yikes. Unless it was an unprotected first I don’t think Columbus considers.

Chicago trade for PLD just doesn't make sense. Jarmo would be foolish to target strome as the main piece IMO, I think he is great for Chicago but wouldn't fit well in columbus. Chicago is also not in the position to give up the extra futures CBJ would want.

yea no, I'd rather trade Kubalik + Beaudin or even Kubs and Strome for PLD

Personally, I'd rather keep Kubalik then Debrincat.

Main piece would be Debrincat then Strome. Cat + Strome collectively have more value then PLD

Eh, with Cat having a down year and a ridiculous QO I'm not sure I agree.

I'd personally like Debrincat better than PLD, and I like PLD better than Strome and Kubs, and some Hawks fans believe Kubs is better than debrincat , so I think a better package would be
Kubs, Kurashev or Wallmark, and Beaudin or Regula, and a pick for PLD

Quantity doesn't equal quality in this case. Getting rid of Regula or Kubalik would be a big mistake IMO.

What?

I’m a big PLD fan, easily a number 1 center in my book. If I were Columbus I wouldn’t even entertain the Strome and DeBrincat for PLD because they are lesser tier players. I think a high first round pick is needed.

Good young 1C for a good young 2C and best young sniper in the game; hard to say that's not fair...at least on paper

Stromes status as a 2C is debatable, and DeBrincat really needs a bounce back year to live up to that billing. All in all if I were CBJ I would reject, even on paper.

Strome being 23 years old, did well at 2C since joining the Hawks. Is he a great 2C? No but Hawks believe he can be a very good 2C and there's no reason to think otherwise. He's not a 1C which is the position he's being forced into right now.

Cat had one down year after a 28 and 41 goal season. Wouldn't make sense to write him off as not one of the best young snipers in the game when you look at his body of work.

Again, depending on needs of CBJ, if they need a young sniper then I don't see why they wouldn't grab one of the best along with a 2C for a guy that doesn't want to play in Columbus.
