A couple of these guys are definitely too old to be the top 10 in the next decade. Gaudreau and RNH are both going to be 28 this year. Their time as top wingers won't last beyond the next 3 years max. I'd wager anyone over 24 will be hard-pressed to remain top end long enough to be amoung the best over the next decade.

I think RNH is going to be a dominant player for the next 5-6 seasons playing on McDavid/Draisaitl’s wing. Ever since he changed to that role he’s scored at a 90 point pace. That’s pretty much the same as Marner/Guentzel.

I also feel Landeskog is going to win multiple cups.

He isn't dominant though, Draisaitl is dominant and McDavid is dominant, RNH just fits well with them. On his own he's just a good player.

Landeskog winning cups has more to do with MacKinnon that it does Landeskog.

That’s fair, I guess RNH is just a top complimentary piece who doesn’t drive his own line like Taylor Hall. But there’s a lot to like about his game, he’s good at generating scoring chances and plays a solid defensive game.

I am not sure there is much supporting evidence to make that statement. He was good when he was centering Hall, then was not much of anything when he was centering the 2nd line in Edmonton while Draisaitl and McDavid played together on the top line and then started producing once he was on LW with one of those guys. He's a good player no doubt but I just don't see him as elite.

Yeah honestly I think RNH is a guy who needs linemates of similar talent level in order to impact play at a top level. Cuz during those 3 years when his results were bad, he played alongside Lucic & Chiasson (guys who were not very good). If he can keep the same point pace from the second half of last season, I’d consider him elite.

Idk solid list! The only one I would take off is Gunetzel because he is the most overrated guy in the league rn tho im sure a lot of guys here r gonna tell me im wrong or biased lol

Just to put it into perspective, him and debrusk had a very similar 1st 3 season (with Guentzel having an advantage by like .10 ppg but was a pure sniper vs debrusk who plays more physical and defensive)...
However debrusk is also 2-3 years younger ... AND he wasnt playing with Crosby / Malkin / Both. (hasnt even played with Bergy or Marchy.

So like definitely take Guentzel off because him and debrusk shouldnt be there

Thanks for the feedback. I’m a Pens fan but I’ve definitely wondered if Guentzel is sometimes held in a far too high regard. His numbers away from Sid/Geno are not elite at all.

I still included him cuz of his playoff performances, but I could definitely replace him with someone like Matt Beniers.

I appreciate your open-mindedness. Its hard when you have biased fans that only want what they want (I have had to explain about 20 times to an oilers fan that Drai did IN FACT play with McDavid for like 72.1% of Ice time last year)...
He is good, no doubt, but definitely overrated to some degree. Again, an excellent 2nd liner, but by no means does he project to be a top 10 LW this coming decade in my educated opinion

Yeah I think someone like Guentzel is a top tier LW when he's alongside Crosby or Malkin, but perhaps just not an elite player in his own right.
