We've all seen Nick Kypreos tweet saying that Dubois' favorite landing spot would be Montreal and that Columbus' ask is Suzuki++. Just yesterday, Michel Bergeron, former Québec Nordiques and New York Rangers coach and long-time hockey panelist, suggested (more like screamed) that Bergevin had to get him in a deal revolving around Suzuki++, without trading the untouchables. 1. Nick Suzuki is & should be untouchable. Trading him for Dubois along with other assets solves nothing and destroys our prospect pool. 2. Keep in mind that the guy ASKED to be traded. 3. PLD only had nine more points in one more game than Suzuki who spent 1/4 of last season on the fourth line. That guy is delusional and it's time for a new generation of panelists/journalists because him, Mike Bossy & Normand Flynn are washed. I'm human and PLD is a pipe dream, but any trade with Suzuki as a basis would be plain dumb.

If I'm Montreal I offer KK plus, not Suzuki.

It's not. Suzuki had 41 points in 71 games compared to 49 in 70 for Dubois. Suzuki showed not only last night but last year in the bubble that he's legit. I dont think Dubois is really an upgrade over him. Dubois is certainly an upgrade over KK though.
