I don't think BOS goes for PLD.
Something deep down in my gut tells me they will find a way to land Eichel in the off season.
It scares me. It really does.

I definitely don't see that happening. Mainly because Sweeney doesn't like paying big bucks for players. He operates like Doug Armstrong, they'd rather pay a bunch of guys 5 mil than one guy 10 mil. Plus, i don't think they have the pieces to even get Eichel. Then again who knows because they went hard on Tavares

CBJ is in a position of weakness so a MAX trade is highly unlikely! The player clearly wanting out may force a "soft" deal in this situation as GM Kekäläinen is painted in the corner by his "client". Only GM hammer is RFA status...play well or sit mo-fo.......

Also has 6-7 teams willing so competition drives price back up 3years club control

That's true.
However, as other GM's are so oft to do they throw you an anchor more than a life-saving raft.

By the time Jarmo gets it fixed the 56-game-schedule may have them as the new LOTTERY darlings and him the best GM in the Finnish Elite League...no pressure!

Just need that one raft and all those anchors

PLD would be an unbelievably perfect fit for Boston. However, i think they’re in a spot where the pieces that it would take to acquire him are non starters.
McAvoy: get real.
Pastrnak: get real.
Carlo: no thanks.
Debrusk + literally all bruins futures: not happening.

It will definitely take a lot, but I dont think it will take the entire farm either. Dubois is a really good player and I dont think Columbus is on an upward trajectory anymore especially if Dubois is wanting out. I dont think it would take McAvoy or Carlo to get it done. There's a good chance that it would be Debrusk + and if I'm Boston I'd consider it as long as it's not the entire farm. Kase has solid value, but not great. So we replace him with Debrusk.
DeBrusk+Studnicka+ 1st and possibly conditional pick could work in Boston's favor. PLD could either play left of Krecji or Krecji takes the RW next to PLD. Either works. Im not sure why people think PLD is some amazing top 10 center in the league when he's not.
He's certainly got the potential to be, but in a flat cap era and the fact that he wants out, CBJ won't get top value. It's not going to be a Seth Jones for Ryan Johansen 2.0 situation.

Him wanting out does precisely zero to his value.

It does in a flat cap era because not many teams can make it work.

Teams can send money the other way. It does zero to his value.
