Not only did you make the 2nd line worse without Marner, but you also made the 3rd line arguably worse with a slow Getz, the 4th line is an AHL line, and the 3rd pairing will be exposed pretty badly on a nightly basis. You've upgraded the starting goaltending position, but we have a 3rd stringer as a backup now

Gibson is easily the best goaltender in the league with a team like Tampa or Colorado.

Doesn't matter, a lesser goalie in the right system can be good enough. Gibson is terrific but spending huge assets to acquire him just doesn't make sense. Have better players like Nylander and then going with cheaper tandem goalies is likely a much better team.n

Regardless, Ducks aren’t moving Gibson unless it’s for a really good deal for Anaheim
