Why so? Don’t have the defensive depth to trade savard? That was my main concern

Is niku's value that low?
Asking for a friend who has niku in a really deep dynasty league. Lol

He was brutal last night. He can be better but he won’t get the minutes he needs in Winnipeg. I’m basically sure that if the jets don’t move him, he won’t have much of an nhl career. He has major issues in the defensive zone which will keep him out of the jets lineup. The jets have a very “defend by committee” approach this season and it’s not that niku doesn’t try, but it’s as if no one very taught him to defned. His positioning and gap control suck. I’m a big fan of his and I think that with ice time, he could grow even into a #3 d-man. I just don’t think it will be with the jets. Wrong timing unfortunately.

Seeing as he hasn’t really proven himself at the nhl level as more than a 6th d-man right now, I think his value is about this much. Keep in mind that Ritchie is also a middle 6 winger

Lol. Get him back if he gets moved to a team that will give him a chance. The kid may be bad in his own zone, but they are all fixable issues.

Really wanted for him to work out in Winnipeg cause he truly loves the city. He’s the only jet who actually stayed in Winnipeg during the offseason.

Bruins take. Good value going both ways and addresses both teams needs.

I don't know. Value isn't the issue but Bruins seem to want to give Ritchie a second chance (as they should) and if he's fine, they will probably keep him. Right now, they're also giving playing time to Zboril/Lauzon/Vaakanainen so adding another D would mean less ice time for each/too many D.

Trade isn't bad but I believe it's unlikely. If they need to improve, acquiring an established top4 NHL Dmen in the mid-season/at trade deadline is likely the route they will go.
