Confirms my suspicion that Columbus wants roster player(s) to help soften the blow of losing PLD. Don't think the Wild have what they'd want but it would be fun to see us make a trade for him.

Based on these requirements, it’s probably going to be one of Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Rangers, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Washington. That means roughly 1 in 7 my Flames get him. 🤷‍♂️

I’d rule out Montreal. I also don’t think the Capitals have any roster players that would work for both teams. So 1 in 5.

Calgary is a sneaky one to pick him up. And even tho they weren’t mentioned, vegas gets literally everyone so I wouldn’t be surprised w them. I think Calgary, Vegas, NYR, Montreal are gonna be the final 4 by the end of the Dubois saga. Could also see Minnesota being a player

I wouldn't discount Arizona. New GMs often do sneaky things. If they can buy low on a true 1C... huge potential here.

I know its not the popular suggestion but I'm still very convinced Colorado will be the one getting Dubois (just my prediction I'm sticking with; not saying its right and everyone else is wrong).

Would make them have one of the deepest teams we've seen. Land, Mac, Rant, Dubois, Kadi, Bura, Nic, JTC, Saad plus Makar, Girard, Toews, Graves, Byram
(plus the rest of the team with many young guys).

Colorado in the end likely wont be getting Dubois (either not the right pieces or Sakic doesn't want in) but I wouldn't sleep on Sakic.

A lot of people seem to think it will be around Monahan, I just find that very unlikely. Dubois for Monahan doesnt make them any more of cup contenders, Dubois for Bennett/Mangiapane and picks prospects does though. Lindholm has been ok at centering the Tkachuk line but he's been struggling in the dot. I think a top 6 of Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Dubois, Lindholm and Dube, with Backlund centering the 3rd line is borderline elite.

I think you underestimate Dvorak a bit, not to mention AZ has Hayton and Jenik in the pipeline

My sense from canvassing sources tonight, Columbus is closing in on a trade involving Pierre Luc Dubois. It’s a complicated process that could be resolved as early as tomorrow. Teams have been told they’re out. Hard to say who’s in, but it’s believed Winnipeg is among them.
