No way the pens give up hags and pouliot for a deplorable on a **** contract. Nobody wants kane and buffalo just has to deal with him. Dumby has some talent ill admit but not enough too put up with his baggage.

npalley, you know your Pens best. Wondering if a straight Kane for Hagelin trade might be good. Kane's contract expires a year soon. I know it's gamble, but Kane has always played on poor teams. Just wondering if only short term the leadership, talent and expectations from the Pens might "straighten" Kane out and he'll have a good year and half with the Pens.

I think that's true, where he'll have Sid and Geno to tell him to pick up his socks but I don't think the Pens would want to give up their speed game (I know Kane is fast but I'd think they would want to add more speed rather than less). A more appropriate trade for Kane might be a 22-25 year old B player and a mid draft pick. Or something like that.

Kane has more value imo then Hagelin. Hagelin is older and his ceiling isn't as high. I know Kane isn't doing super well but has skill, size, speed, and aggression for the top-6. I added Pouliot to balance it out but would a draft pick going to Pens balance it out?
