I love this idea, but I think the Rangers need to add a bit here

Taking on Yankees certainly takes value away from Barkov, but still Barkov is a top tier player, so that negative Yandle value doesn't do too much

In order to compete with other teams' offers I think the Rangers have to add a young roster player(Howden would be the odd man out since FLA doesn't need D) and another young B prospect, ex Zach Jones or Brett Berard)

I'm not even that confident the additions I put in my comment would be enough, but it moves the dial more haha

Barkov would start with a C prospect and we don't have a major one. Barkov to NYR isn't a good fit IMO

That might get you Pierre-Luc Dubois, But it's not getting the NYR Aleksander Barkov.

I think we have an over abundance in D Prospects, so I am on board with moving one of those on the B tier.

If it's a Forward Prospect, I would be OK with moving a Veirling, Cullye or maybe Pajuniemi.

What does Tavares have to do with anything?

Barkov is better, but the acquiring team won't hold his rights for as long as PLD.

True, Not sure how dealing DeAngelo while acquiring Yandle who has a year more makes and sense.

I think the value of Barkov over Strome outweighs Deangelo over Yandle. Plus more of a need at C.
