Sharks Long Term Future

Created by: jfrojelin

Description
For the purpose of this, players on their ELCs and prospects are the only one I will show here. This is to show that the Sharks, after the 2020 draft, have a somewhat respectable future.

Players are in lines based solely off potential, not current ability.

Please share your opinions on the comments with actual substance, not just being mean :)

The Sharks are going to draft a dman in the first round, so in the top part that could be Power or Clarke, or later in the round maybe Chayka who I've liked so far. Center after Sasha is kinda brutal as well. Let me know your thoughts on these guys!

Sell who lol. No ones giving us elite prospects for Burns or Karlsson with their deals. Not trading Meier or Hertl for garbage returns either

Couture still has positive value. Labanc could be swapped for a good prospect to a team who is going to contend. Vlasic could be a good TDL deal for a team looking for extra D help.

Defense is pretty good going forward imo.

We've been depleted for half a decade with forward prospects. So no surprise there, but it looks like the first three picks from 2020 are actually pretty good.

Bordeleau, Robins and Weisblatt are all very underrated. Coe is also looking to be a strong prospect.

Coe and Gushchin we're very underrated picks. Spiridonov, Raska, Hatakka and Kniazev we're all at world juniors and Kniazev's pair was one of the best in the tournament.

It would probably be smart to find a LD to pair with Karlsson (and eventually Merkley) for the future, someone like Power, Edvinsson, Lambos, or Hughes, but looking at that Center depth, I would really want to address that with a 1C caliber prospect. Someone like Kent Johnson, Beniers, Raty or Lucius.

This is under the hypothetical that we finish as a bottom 5-8 team, but if enough guys on the team return to form/continue to improve and we make the playoffs, I wouldn't be mad about not getting a pick that high.

With how Bordeleau looks at Michigan, he's looking like a future 1C. My worry is Spiri, I could possibly skate faster than him, he get absolutely no leg drive or ability to change direction, it's ugly. Sasha Bordeleau is fine for the future.

For D, I agree but I think Ferraro will be that, he is already succeeding in the top 4. Adding a Power, Lambos, Chayka etc on the Left would be sick for the future, pending where we draft

Halbgewachs?

I'd have plenty of players before I'd mentione him. AHL bound most his career
